Did this show have the darkest scenes of any "kids" cartoon?

Here are two prime examples:

I'd replace your second link with either Clayface's transformation or Maybe Vance's "Death" In Batman Beyond if that Counts.

I honestly don't remember the second example

I mean the whole ivy thing I remember but not the rest of it

But I wanna say the only other show that got dark like Batman was Gargoyles

That scene really fucked me up as a kid, even before I knew what drugs were. Especially the part when Penguin's head popped.

Clayface's "death" is pretty fucking grim

It's still pretty grim, but I'd argue modern cartoons have overtaken it. Even the recent DC shows like YJ, GL:TAS, and BtB. Even Brave and the Bold had a higher body count.

>But I wanna say the only other show that got dark like Batman was Gargoyles

>that realistic gun shot
>Demona gleefully smashing and mutilating statues of frozen citizens

Could've been darker

Here's a list of shit they weren't allowed to have illustrated by tim

Wait didn't they have most of that in the original Batman cartoon before it was redesigned by timm

Man Ron Perlman's Great and the music was great

I don;t think it's about body count it's more about horror, essentially body Horror in the case of Clayface or Two face.

>Joker is just a random guy

>Two-Face is also just a guy, but people love Joker way more.

It's not fair.

Not to mention Harvey's story is much more tragic Because he was essentially a good guy, but he did have some mental problems but he was trying to get help. The sad part is the Other personality kinda took over. I really like Two Face as a villain out of All of Batman's Rouge's he's my favorite then the joker, and then Scarecrow in third.

Too bad he kept showing up in the animated series.

I think he would've worked better as a one-shot there.

Eh Maybe a few episodes more, Second Chances was good. Almost Got Im was pretty fun, and him being in Trial as the Prosecutor was kinda fun. I haven't seen The Judge yet but I hear it's decent and has the famous "Guilty" Scene. I dunno I don't mind Harvey Appearing especially if I get to listen to his theme music again.
>>
Baby Doll had several dark moments. Pretty tragic as a character, at least people like Two-Face and Clayface USED to have a normal adult life and happy memories, she never really had that at all. I keep hoping she'll jump into the comics like Harley and Livewire did.

NO DAMN IT

WE HAVEN'T GONE DARK ENOUGH

I WANT THAT ASS WIDE OPEN
>>
Also let's not forget Batman Beyond, Full of Body Horror, Incomplete Transformations, Revenge Surgery, and Earthmover

I really don't think anything tops Barbara getting thrown off of a building and getting slammed by the cop car her father happens to be in right before she hits the ground, then dying right there in the road.

It's horrific in how real it is, even if it didn't actually happen.

Over The Edge is fucking amazing.

>>83098512
holy fucking shit that looks straight out of some Japanese Horror Anime
>>
No.

>there are people on this board who haven't seen this, or B:tAS in general just because it's old.

It's still one of the greatest cartoons of all time. OF ALL TIME.
>>
>>83099999

It really is. I hope to one day raise my kids on my DCAU dvds.

I hope they like it ;__;
>>
>>83098352
DCAU was pretty grim at times in general https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0pcChyV6o4
