Character A is happy. Character B is introduced and that makes A unhappy. A tries to get rid of B, bit through a wacky series if events winds up stuck with B on a harrowing adventure, close to home, but so far away.
And then you have SIDE PLOT, where A's and B's friends all go looking for them.
From the first trailer, I thought it might be a selection of vignettes: short films about fuzzballs. But that hope was dashed.
God, this movie is going to make bank. I hate when movies take shit songs and have animated characters sing them. "Hue Hue hue! Pig is singing LADY GAGA BAHAHAHA! OH THAT PIGGY TRIPPED ON STAGE HAHAHA SO FUNNY!!" this shit appeals to the lowesr common denominator, just like Minions, and will make money.
