I know some people dont like the text-heavy slide kind of story modes but i think it would work amazing well with a comic book kind of style similar to the individual character endings, only instead of it being a few self contained images loosely related to the over arching plot, it's a cohesive story mode from start to finish.

i don't even know if MVC4 will ever be made, maybe another 10 years+, and yet the roster will still be shit, with locked content that has to be purchased, DLC and barely having a story.

It was already like that during MvC3 really, the only X-Men characters were Laura, Logan, Phoenix, Sentinel and Magneto.
If MvC4 happens, Logn, Laura and Mag are the only ones I can see retaining.
But to be fair, judging how Capcom and Disney have a shared history with each other and are bros when it comes to game licensing, they are probably going to have a much larger freedom in character selection.

Yeah, but they cant use MVC3 as a platform anymore. That one's done with. Which is why everyone's asking for a fourth new game. It probably wont even be called MVC4 now that i think about it.
