When I read 'Transformer-tier' my mind don't go to the collateral damage around them, but rather how the action is shot, very up close and quick, too close for you to actually see everything going on in the shot. The whole fight with Doomsday felt this way. Transformers suffers this exact problem with their cqc fights, too close so, while you are able to see the fine details in the action, you miss out on the picture as a whole.

There was a fanbase that was still so invested in the universe that it didn't happen. Post New 52, and particularly in the last five years, they've seen that fanbase leave as their sales dipped to 24% of the market share. Image Comics and Marvel Comics gnawed away to the point where DC's standing as one of the "big two" is actually in jeopardy.
The fact that they realized they made this mistake and are finally making amends for it is commendable, but only time can tell if they can return to their former sales or if the downward slide will continue as they fracture their market yet again from the people who supported the New52 jump ship.
