Now this werw the Justice league, after new 52 they rwmoved my gal hawkgirl and started forcing the robonigger.

When people ask for diversity, they really only mean add more blacks.
>>
>>82933632
Hawkgirl was as forced as Cyborg for the sake of diversity. It's supposed to be Aquaman there, you filthy casual.
>>
>>82933677
While I do agree with this, I REALLY enjoyed that arc where thanagar invades earth and fuck everything up. If it was Aquaman we would've had throne of Atlantis that sucked

>It's a "GL and Hawkgirl argue because the writers think it's endearing when in reality it makes them both seem like petty assholes" episode
>>

Good job captain obvious
>>
Why was everyone seriously nerfed on this show?

Everyone but Batman (for obvious reasons) jobs to practically anything.
>>
>>82939206
As much as I liked the show, I'm pretty sure the writers admitted they had no idea how to handle a character as powerful as Superman or Martian Manhunter.
Usual the writing made up for it, but it could still get pretty grating at times.

>Pilot establishes GL as the cool headed military tactical dude of the group who isn't happy about Flash's rush to action.
>The following 2 part episodes shows what happens when he rushes into action and he's pretty upset about it.
>The next 2 part episodes has him anxious to rush into action to retrieve a submarine from the Atlantians, wants to start a fight right away and doesn't even consider the lives of the people in the sub.

I'm not really liking Jon Stewart so far

Writers confused cartoon John with comic John. Being the 2nd episode, it's an understandable mistake.
>>
>>82933677

Yeah, but Hawkgirl (at least in JL) was an actually good character!

>>82939938

DCAU's power levels for characters like Supes were always toned down, and I actually like that. Even Flash does not have too many speedforce shenanigans either.

DCAU focused more on the characters rather than the powers, and that's why Batman was and still is an amazing show.

If it makes you feel better, Geoff Johns wrote that episode. He would later make Stewart extremely dull.
>>
>>82931067

The Justice League having a heavy Batman focus is the biggest load of shit that /co/ clings to. I think it was fairly balanced but if it leans towards any member it's clearly Superman

That's what made this as awesome as it was

I recently watched JL and Wondy literally doesn't know she can do that, at that point in time.

It's not until a waaay later episode that Hippolyta "unlocks" that ability for her lasso.

Did the writers hate Diana or something? Because I'm pretty sure the DCAU is chiefly responsible for the perception of her being Miss No Fun Allowed. Also for making people believe that Cheetah is her arch-enemy, but that's an entirely different matter.
>>
>>82951940

Well he sure jobs as much as suoesy
>>
>>82951910
IIRC in the show's backstory she took the lasso and her outfit and ran away after her mother forbade her to go to man's world. Presumably, Hippolyta would have told her what the lasso could do if she had stuck around.

Not hate her. Just not really know what to do with her and her villains, just like 98% of comic and cartoon writers.

Even Grant Morrison, one of the biggest DC nerds ever, didn't know what to do with her in JLA. It's only recently that he studied her and try to make a good story with the character.
