So, it's a good time to come out, only snag really is the Superhero archetypes they're deconstructing and/or parodying are usually based on DC heroes going either dark or evil, in contrast to the mythic and colourful DC heroes of lore, but the DCEU heroes are already pretty hard and have done morally grey things.

Does it count as a deconstruction? Watchman is a deconstruction and it approaches the idea of a superhero from multiple angels, but Irredeemable seems like a simple "what if Superman went full kill mode" premise. It's no more a deconstruction that the zombie Marvel comics.
Seems kind of dark to warrant a large budget, but if Watchmen worked maybe this will too.
