Prometheus.

The dude is using Martian tech with access to the phantom zone. He's taking out the Justice League single handly before and yet...

He's never really given any love. They showed him a little in Arkham Aslyum though.

>AND his 'evil Batman for mobsters' gimmick was great.

This. There are other evil Batmen, but Killer Moth is the one who is an actual Batman hunter. He made it his mission to oppose Batman. That is cool as hell.

You know, I always had the idea that while Batman hides in the shadows, it would be really cool if Moth fought under blinding spotlights or something. It fits his theme and it takes Batman out of his element.
>And he had a pretty good track record against Batman.
When you compare how many times Moth has been beaten by Batman to how many times Joker has, doesn't that make Joker out to be a huge chump comparatively?

Mad Hatter could be great, but writers don't want to do a lot with him. He's also in that twilight zone where he's not famous enough to get used when only the main villains get the spotlight, but he's not obscure enough to get use that some of the C or D-listers do.
>>
>>82686056
>it would be really cool if Moth fought under blinding spotlights or something.
It sounds good on paper, but isn't Batman really good at taking out the lights? Just a batarang each will do.
>>
>>82686268
Wrath was great, too. Wrath, in fact, was such a good evil Batman that they had to kill him.
>>82686056
That's a really good idea. Actually, my problem is not with him being comedic. I mean, dude dresses like a moth. The problem is, that it somehow means he can't be thread at the same time. Yeah, only a select group of writers can pull comedic, but threatening villain (Mysterio suffers from this so much), but nobody even tries.
>>
>>82686370
I havent seen him alot, lately. I hope he gets more recognition soon, maybe in gotham, or a movie?

So my idea is that killer moth hate batman because when he was a kid, he was the isolated social reject, who was always mocked and picked on by the other kids at school, his only outlet were bugs. He particulalrly liked moths, and loved the colony he nutured and feed up in his attic. One day, after getting home from school, he goes up into his attic to find all his moths have been eaten by a bat that has taken up residance in the attic. Enraged, he grabs the bat and bites its head off, before falling to the floor crying with blood from the bats head he devoured still flowing from his mouth. Fast foward a few years, hes now acurator at the gotham zoo insect department. He funds out about batman, which sends him into a PTSD style flashback. He quits his job and becomes a reclusse, learninrgg everything about batman. His tactics, his gear, his moves, everything. He trains in mutiple martial arts, conducts a strict training regitment, and uses his technical skills to make a web gun and moth mobile from his rusted car in his garage. His out fut is alot like the conics, the same color scheme even, only grundgier and with dirt and webs splatterd evetywhere, and the color culled and not as bright. He also gets facial surgery to make skin protrusions on his face to look like insect mandibles. Twelve months pass, and he finally attacks batman by sticking the batmobile in webbing in an alleyway, while kicking his ass. Cont

Take the idea from Teen Titans that Killer Moth is a dad. Give him a young daughter and explain that she designed the costume. And he wears it, looking like a giant goofball, to make her happy. Just because he's a supervillain doesn't mean he can't be an awesome dad.
>>
>>82686517
Sorry about the spelling errors, mobile keyboards are a bitch

So he uses some cameras placed at vantage points to film him kicking batmans ass, and shows it off to various criminials, offering his services to fight off the bat for them(this could be a great scene to have cameos of other bat villians watching the videos), he eventually gets hired by scarface, and being the weird mothman that he is, is compelled to eat the stuffed ventriloquist doll(i want to add some bizzare humor in batman films), resulting in him getting fired upon by scarface and his men while also gaining some notoriety for avoiding capture from one of the most dangerous mob bosses in gotham. He eventually gets hired by the great white shark, who wants him as his personal bodyguard at a drug pickup that he most certainly knows batman knows about, but is such a sweet deal he doesnt want to decline. The drugdeal goes down and nothing happens it seems, that is however until after they get back to the great white sharks compound it is discoverd that batman stowed away in one of the crates of drugs. cont

Moth Bat Cage Repellent Repellent
>>
>>82686739
In the fight batman unmasks killer moth, somewhat taken aback by his insect apperance, and killer moth explains his origins to batman(the entire film up to this point was about batman trying to find out who exactly killer moth was and his motives, as well as dealing with the fact that there is a guy out there devouting himself as a batman hunter). He calls him mad for claiming that batman is somehow responsible for his moths deaths, and offers him psychiactruc help at arkham. Laughing manically, killer moth reveals his last body motification trick, an acid squirter located underneath his tounge, which almost takes out batman. He flys away on his jetpack, but not before he discovers that some of the acid had gotten onto the fuel line of his jetpack, causing it to explode. Batman later apprehends white in a extended fight sequence, and the ambiguity about moths death is left open by the end of the film, when it is mentioned that some of his gear was found but not his body.
>>
>>82686436
Problem with mad hatter in my eyes is that he's just so fucking tragic. Not in the "they forced me into this" sort of tragic, but that he's legitimately off his rocker and doing anything to punish him for his misdeeds feels wrong. Sure, it depends on the writer, but generally the hatter I see is usually so insane that he doesn't understand why what he's doing is so bad. If you beat up on him you just invite more jokes about batman beating up the mentally ill.
>>
>>82686517
Change hearing about batman as an adult to him being witness to batman breaking into the zoo to stop the joker, whos riding a mad elephant he infected with joker gas. Im sure by this time he knows who batman is and hates him(this is at a time where batman as long been into his carrer as the caped crusader), but never equated him to being the bane of his exsistance and the murderer of his childhood friends until he charges at him and scares the living daylights out of killer moth, makig him shit his pants in both fer and rage.

Mad Hatter is good, but every once in a while a writer decides he should be a pedophile because that's "creepy," and then nobody can use him without people getting mad.

I like Hatter when he's a guy who uses his mind control because he can't handle reality. When he's too unhinged he's just tragic, like >>82686992 said. The BTAS one was best- he's just a weird depressed person who just happens to have incredible power.

I also love the Wonderland gang and wish they'd get used more. Making them some kind of major player in the Gotham underworld could be a ton of fun
>>
>>82687332
>but every once in a while a writer decides he should be a pedophile because that's "creepy," and then nobody can use him without people getting mad.
What, explain?
>>
>>82687369
Like, you know how people don't use Doctor Light anymore because somebody wrote a rape story with him and now they think he's "tainted?" Or how Toyman can't shake the stigma of being a pedoohile now and he's just the "creepy fat guy" most of the time? It's like that.

Characters get held to the same standard as real people for some reason, as if they had any kind of agency
>>
>>82687369
Morrison back in A Serious House on Serious Earth had him as a pedophile and it's something that occasionally comes up depending on writer.

>>82687332
>he's just a weird depressed person who just happens to have incredible power.

Simone used that characterization pretty heavily.
>>
>>82687332
Speaking of innocent villains, I liked Beware the Batman's Humpty Dumpty. He was a giant manchild who got pulled in way over his head and blamed the real world for disturbing his peace. He's got a whole "fragility" aspect to his character that I really like.

The Spook guaranteed that he would free any of his policy holders who were imprisoned. The shrouded rogue first reappeared in a puff of smoke inside the jail cell of "Big Turk" Ramis, "four-time loser and one-time syndicate boss". Despite being imprisoned in an escape-proof new maximum security penitentiary, Ramis was assured by the Spook that he could be freed easily. Because Big Turk had refused to accept the hood's "introductory offer," his "'escape-insurance' policy will cost you double!". Yeah I like that costume, but what bothered me was that they just ran with the "moth" thing. Like raising moth monsters and things.

He was like a weird hybrid of whatever he was after Underworld Unleashed and and some super science villain, but didn't really have anything to do with Killer Moth.

I liked the Doctor Death in Sandman Mystery Theater.
>>
>>82689703
Lower part of the costume should be redesigned. It's so out of place with purple top. But I really like the mask. I kinda wish they ame back to his first few appearances, when he went full on Evil Batman. Moth signal is so great. Also, as a joke, they can give him a sidekick.
Man, he has so much potential.

>acting like he wasn't before his monster form

Let's be real here. That's not to say he hasn't had some fun reads, but he was Batgirls first baddy for fucks sake.
Anyone remember the adventure with Booster Gold where Killer Moth is accidentally competent due to time travel fuckery and becomes king of gotham?

>Morrison back in A Serious House on Serious Earth had him as a pedophile and it's something that occasionally comes up depending on writer.

Yeah, Robin: Year One by Chuck Dixon had Hatter kidnapping little girls and selling them into sex slavery.

Non canon.

Well it was canon until Flashpoint.

Surprising. You'd think a name like Waylon Jones would tip them off.

I think for most people, they don't even think of the races of characters that don't really look human. You look at Killer Croc and you don't see a black guy with a weird skin condition, you just see a big croc.

Whatever happened to his and Lady Clayface's Claybaby? Last I recall, it was in the hands of the gubmint thanks to the half-assed crimefighting of AzBats. It feels like that's a loose thread that'd actually be worth revisiting nowadays. Imagine Grayson trying to rescue a young Clayface from a top secret facility where they're indoctrinating it into becoming an assassin for "the greater good". You could do some interesting comparison/contrast with Dick's own childhood.

I think Doodlebug could make a good Batman '66 villain. A villain who does graffiti sounds like it could be a fun plot.

Hatter's like ten times better with interesting henchmen.

As a matter of fact I miss henchmen in general, no one uses colorful ones anymore.
>>
>>82689140
I think its because they used a white guy voice for him in TAS.

>>82695593
I feel like Doodlebug'd almost fit in a Question or Green Arrow gallery better, but I love the concept.

Also Great White Shark needs more love, what a fucking great origin.

Yeah, same here. Humpty and Magpie felt like classic Batman villains and I would've liked to have seen more of them.
>>
>>82696688
I...don't know. Probably not. I mean you could make one up easily enough but that'd involve Q getting solo stories.
>>
>>82696474
Agreed.

Harley's the only recurring henchman we have nowadays, and she's...different. I miss Raven, Jay, Lark, Echo, and Query.

>>
>>82696713

Everybody shat on BtB for not using the classic rouges but I think that using new villains is what made it memorable.

I'd love to see a new show or comic with everybody in this thread and none of the regulars.
>>
>>82696688
Isn't that The Question of the day?
>>
>>82697226
Yeah, I liked the approach of using mostly obscure rogues with a some usual suspects for the big storylines like Ra's, Deathstroke, and Dent.

I would've liked more obscure rogues in season two like KGBeast, Ratcatcher, and Payne Clayface, along with the ones that were teased like Two-Face and Penguin.
>>
>>82697499
Agreed. It was cool how they used all the big villains as events, instead of just guys for Batman to foil every week.

I didn't like their Harvey but their Two-Face was one of the best.
>>
>>82697169

Harley isn't even a henchman now.
>>
>>82686436
Dammit anon, post the next panel.
>>
>>82685733
I like him as a single dad though. It lets him still be humorously relatable without having him constantly lose at supervillainy. I love the idea that Killer Moth spends all the money he makes from his Batman-distraction racket on spoiling his daughter rotten to make up for all the years he spent in prison.
