The art in this comic is unspeakably gorgeous. There's a quote about the painter John Singer Sargent - "the slightly uncanny spectacle of a talent which on the very threshold of its career has nothing more to learn" - and I think that's a sensation you get from Minna Sundberg's work. She is what, in her early or mid 20s? And she's an absolute master in her work. Not only incredibly talented, but incredibly productive.
At the same time though, I find it almost impossible to become invested in this comic. The setting and plot of it never seem to match up with the characters and tone.
Let's enjoy the art without any of the characters, then.
