Okay, I'm trying to remember if this thing really happened or if I'm crazy. I remember from watching Cartoon Network as a kid, like 10~15 years ago, there was this weird event where weird videos would play at night during some commercial breaks, showing that Fred Flintstone had been kidnapped. They were shot like realistic kidnapping videos, all grainy and weird static-y cuts, showing a cartoon Fred Flintstone tied to a chair. I can kinda remember they were playing it up like "Fred's missing!" "Where's Fred Flintstone?!" But I can't remember anything beyond that. I tried googling for answers, but I can't even find a mention of this anywhere.

So, did I hallucinate this shit, or did this really happen on TV?

Whatever that was, it sounds really grand

It was really weird. I didn't really understand what was happening at the time. I just thought it was really cool. But it took too long for any update or anything, so I lost interest and I don't know what happened.

I remember this, too. It's real.

I don't think you want to know what happened to Fred Flintstone. Don't dig too deep into this or you'll be next.

Britfag? This was an elaporate ad campaign to advertise Thunderbirds on Cartoon Netowrk.

Good to know that I'm not crazy. Did anything happen, or did it just kinda end?

It was a series of Fruity Pebbles ads, if I remember correctly.
Barney was getting Pebbles easy and was like, "Where's Fred?" That's it.

It was so kids could go on the internet and convince their parents to buy them more cereal. That's it.

Thunderbirds? That weird puppet show?

Yeah CN (at least here in the UK) got the rights to air reruns in the late 90's. They must've repurpused the fruity pebbles ads mentioned here >>82606489 and edited in Thunderbirds footage.

The rape scene was a bit much

Hmm, okay. it's too bad there's no footage or anything, cause I'd love to go back and see this stuff again.

Sounds like a weak attempt at creepypasta, but if it was on [as], I can believe it.
