a couple years ago a coworker told me that she woke up and her apartment was full of bees EVERYWHERE, all over the floor and in the bed and on the counters and all over the place

a gardener coworker recommended that she call a beekeeper and have them save as many bees as they could, until the first coworker showed us some pictures she took

they weren't bees, they were YELLOWJACKETS. there were THOUSANDS OF YELLOWJACKETS all over her apartment

I didn't like JLI that much last time I tried (maybe 5 years ago). I'm willing to give it a second chance since I don't even remember the problem.

I liked the two Superbuddies minis though so I don't know. I might have just been in a bad mood or something.

It's so refreshing to see the mad scientist and his brickhouse bodyguard portrayed as good guys.

Also Poison Ivy, no matter how much her new fans want to deny it. That bitch is a monster.
>>
>>82593820
okay! it's on the docket, maybe to be folded into a rotation with this and the Squad and we'll just be GREAT SHIT FROM THE 80S

Sure. This is like half the reason I come to these threads, to become less of a scrub.

Bea and Tora are just friends, so I'm gonna have to put away my yuri goggles.

Finally. Who are we getting instead?

Space Cabbie? Please tell me it's Space Cabbie!

I believe there are digital scans of large chunks of it, at least? I know i have some digital rips but I don't know how extensive they are

I don't know if this is the full thing but it should be most of it before you have to draw upon reading orders.

>I never understood why people shat on Snyder for using it in BvS.
It's easier to accept that sort of swiping when you respect the person doing it. It's sort of like covering a popular song.
>>
>>82593743
One of my favorite parts of the Byrne Namor run was when Misty was talking about how Danny was never comfortable with K'un L'un killing "peaceful plant people" and Doctor Strange basically goes "Where'd you get that idea? Plants are killers just like animals."

Hey, I remember millennium from our read-throughs of Perez Wondy and Post-Crisis Legion. It was really fucking tedious and seemed to accomplish almost nothing whatsoever.
>>
>>82594588
It's honestly one of the worst DC events of all time, and since this isn't Marvel we're talking about that actually IS saying a lot.
>>
>>82594588
It launched the Manhunter solo series, so I'd say it was worth it.

it also did get rid of Todd's Horrible Girlfriend, tho

>Uh, maybe that was a general term for bald people in the 80s

It was. Skinheads were originally just British punks with short/no hair, who tended to wear military surplus.

The whole neo-nazi thing came later. But I'm pretty sure before 86-87 like this issue.
>>
>>82594963
Ironically, skinheads were actually inspired by Jamaican rudeboys.
>>

Sunfire and the Beast's mutant powers were direct results of their parents being in contact with nuclear radiation.
>>
>>82591693
It's like that one /k/ thread.
>>
>>82595040
That was before they changed mutants to being lolgenetics instead of lolradiation though.

It created the go nowhere New Guardians and made Wally West's dad a Manhunter collaborator.
>>
>>82595040
Don't forget Xavier. His dad worked on the Manhattan Project.
>>
>>82595118
Man, I only read Flash from Waid on, I WONDERED why his parents never came up.
>>
>>82595118
Hey, New Guardians gave us the wonderful late 80s madness that was Hemo-Goblin the white supremacist HIV vampire, and Snowflame with the power of cocaine.
>>
>>82595187

Man, given this is 1980s Cambodia, this could've gone a hell of a lot worse.
>>
>>82592804
Eiling has been ridiculously nasty since his first page where you see him tear up that letter to Nate's wife and kids.

He's thoroughly irredeemable. Every page he's on he just gets worse and worse until I can totally believe this is the kind of guy who'd get a whole company of soldiers killed to fuck over a guy so he can steal his girl.
>>
>>82592815
They're black and yellow, live in hives and sting people.
>>
>>82596114
They're a totally different kind of yellow, have totally different body shapes, and one hangs around flowers while the other goes after your baloney sandwich.
>>
>>82595091
As of X-23's backstory, radiation still plays a role which is how they got her claws to pop before she reached adolescence.

It sort of works, because radiation can effect ones genes. Though depending on the circumstances, the effect is more like something out of a horror movie than any superhero comic book.

RIP Hisashi Ouchi and Masato Shinohara.
