Wander Over Yonder is the magnum opus of one of the few living legends of western animation. It is far and away the best cartoon on the air today and one of the finest contemporary examples of animation as an art form outside of Cartoon Saloon. It's basically impossible to speak to highly of it.

I haven't watched much of WoY, just a few episodes. The art-style is nice and there is solid animation. However, the Christmas episode epitomizes what was wrong with WoY. The Hater perspective was enticing and entertaining. Seeing a villain bothered and trying to squash a hero that is merely spreading Holiday cheer was a fun change of pace to that story. The problem is the Wander side of the story. It was boring and cliche. There wasn't new ground to tread like Hater's perspective provided, so you just get a run of the mill episode.
If what you say is true that LD creates more opportunities for Hater-centric episodes, then she probably did make the show better. But honestly, she only drew people in for being a waifu first and whatever good happened was just extra.

The most interesting characters are Hater and Peepers, for sure. I always enjoyed the episodes with them over the episodes without them. Even though I like the first season, the second season was where the show truly flourished because more depth was put into Hater.

I certainly can't truly call anything the best modern cartoon but I'll give Adventure Time the title of most important as it was an incredibly different show that inspired a whole new wave of style while being a genuinely good show maybe even the best for some time. It had a really undesirable dip in quality for a bit but it's getting back to being a great and interesting show.
I have to give Clarence props for being the incredible children's show it is. Not cartoon. But children's show. It's a very heartwarming show to watch and can really outdo itself sometimes. Severely underrated. It's sad.

Clarence hits home hard with how relatable it can be. If you can't stand the characters you probably don't like actual kids. It's like experiencing the whimsy of being a kid all over again.
Though I agree with you Adventure Time's influence is far from a good thing. It's rather disappointing, the extent its affect had. Doesn't stop me from liking the show for what it is although it had it's incredible dips.

I can only hope that means Web access is now retard friendly because I refuse to believe Clarence depicts normal kids. Nobody I know IRL acted like that when we were little and no I'm sure it's not nostalgia goggles. If anyone had acted like the kids in Clarance I would remember because even the dumbest/craziest kid from my childhood looks sane in comparison.
Maybe it's a northamerican thing but it definitely isn't my childhood.

We're still in the middle of chewing on the second half of Season 4. Season 5 was announced to be in the works not long ago, but it was stated somewhere that Gumball ends in season 5 and that's it.
