Actually on second thought that might not apply here. It seems like Floran anthros don't share those sorts of things with their real world counterparts, otherwise the same small species would have shorter lifespans than larger species. Instead it's implied everyone has about the same lifespan except for possums who die at thirty, although the life expectancy seems somewhat dependent on magical treatment. Perhaps everything of similar size would die at thirty, without magic, and smaller things would die sooner and larger things later.
