Other than the stiffness of motion typical in modern TV animation, it was pretty well directed. Great layouts and backgrounds, music and whimsy. Definitely one of the best TV cartoons this decade.

Without directly comparing the two I'd say there's a slight uptick in fine detail (like background brushstrokes) and more clearly defined fast motion, of course it's not a massive difference though, I'll make comparison screenshots later. The audio is certainly better, lossless vs. 128kbps AAC, and it comes with those two additional tracks. I'm pretty confident the Blu-ray is as close as is possible to the original source so I'd say it's certainly worth preserving.

The score-only track ("composer's cut") on the physical releases of the show was basically the creators' backdoor way of getting it out there though. If someone hasn't compiled one with that then someone should, there's no sound effects & the songs have vocals
