heres something how it would play out:
Kirby is getting ready to celebrate his birthday on Popstar with all his friends and frienemies. on the night before Lex stole all of kirbys birthday cakes (all fourty of them!), made sure it looked liked superman did it and left breadcrumbs leading to earth. Kirby wakes up to find his cakes gone, and flips the fuck out so much he releases his thresholds and turns into American Kirby. Then he hops onto a warpstar at lightspeed to earth. causes massive havoc and takes down the entire justice league, all for cakevengence. except superman. supes comes back from intergalactic adventures, sees this weird creature and all the destruction, and proceeds to fight the alien. superman hits hard but kirbys puff absorbs many of the hits, and kirbys proceeds to unleash his rage with numerous hits but his soft hits take a long time to wear superman down. this becomes a long drawn out battle with no clear winner. but when they are both worn down, Lex shows up to capture supes at his weakest and explain his plan and runs.
kirby too tired to do anything, but then his friends show up and give him a M tomato. he then proceeds to fuck Lexcorp up. after defeating Lex on top of his building, Darksied shows up. with the entire justice league and their greatest champion down he proceeds to take over earth. kirby proceeds downward to Lexs secured bunker and saves supes but hes too weak. so kirby sucks up supes and spits him out to borrow his power and kicks darksieds ass, possibly doing a chicago reload of the main JLs powers. lexcorp blows up, cakes are had sitting on Lexs kicked ass, and kirby and supes share a cake over the horizon of a destroyed metropolis. The final bosses of Kirby's games, Dark Matter, Zero, Nova, Necrodeus, etc. are nearly all cosmic horrors. He has to be on a similar level to match them in battle. In Kirby's Dreamland 3, the second player was Gooey, who was explicitly a part of Dark Matter and had the same moveset as Kirby.
