So what exactly was Madame Xanadu thinking making John constantine the leader of the justice league dark.
I know everybody calls her out on it but I just figured he had gotten less horrible in the new 52 and a team book just wasent suficent to see how much he had changed but then I saw him insword of sorceryand he's still the same dickhead we all love to hate
What the fuck was she thinking it makes no sense.
>>82438024
She was thinking he would be able to dick over their enemies even harder than he docked over his teammates. Search your feelings you know it to be true.
>>82438599
I guess that makes sense
>>82438642
That being said I am amazed some of them are willing to work with him. Maybe this is really old comics (haven't read anything with him for a while) but I vaguely remember half of them (including Xanadu) hating him.
>>82438024
Justice League Dark was such wasted potential.
Whatever happened to the Dark Universe book we were supposed to be getting with DCYou?
I should probably get back round to reading the original hellblazer I'm about half way through now
Hey anyone remember that shity Constantine movie?
>>82438972
Better than the series, IMO.
>>82438999
Are you referring to the comic books or is there a tv series I'm somehow unaware of?
>>82439091
the latter. http://www.nbc.com/constantine
>>82439124
Fuck, I have failed, I feel like a casual. Sooo... it's no good?
>>82439163
Episode 4 is good, it's basically an adaption of the first Hellblazer arc.
The rest is American Gothic without Swamp Thing, which is to say it basically feels like a Supernatural ripoff. Dr Fate's helmet appears in Episode 1. Dr Mist has a cameo at some point.
Also, the network decreed that John not be allowed to smoke on screen. They tried to get around it in later episodes, by having him light up or stub out, but its a hollow gesture, like the series as a whole.
The guy playing John is okay, though.
>>82438786
They scrapped the idea after plans for the movie were cancelled as well. Man, DC just can't seem to catch a breath
>>82438972
You mean that totally awesome Constantine movie with the best portrayal of Satan on screen? Yeah, I remember that
>>82438599
>John "Sent all my friends to an early grave" Constantine
Xanadu is a dumb bitch if she thought Constantine could control his terrible luck.
>>82439942
Hey it's only terrible luck about 1/2 of the time
1/4 of the time it's because he misjudged what would happenhis computer friend and zee getting blasted by angels
And 1/4 of the time it's him sacrificing his friends
>>82439163
this guys analysis is pretty spot on
>>82439204
It's a fairly enjoyable show, but it has been cancelled and I'm 98% certain it'll never get revived.
The guy who plays John is good, if you can get over the whole 'Constanteen' thing.
In the last few episodes the showrunners sorta stop giving a fuck and let John smoke, but in the first few episodes NBC make them skirt around it
what was DC thinking making justice league dark and not just another shadowpact
>>82440857
If they published a comic called magic comics do you think it would turn into comics about a single character like detective and action
>>82440946
No it would just get cancelled.
>>82440090
>And 1/4 of the time it's him sacrificing his friends
wait , when ?
>>82441163
Really?
>>82441163
Pretty much his first proper arc he locked a demon in his friends body while it ate away at him for hours.
>>82441289
Correction not arc it was a single comic
His first comic
His second appearance
>>82441376
Wait scratch that second comic 3rd apperance
>>82438024
He's natural management material. He uses people very well.
>>82439894
There is also a Lucifer tv show now.
>>82441376
>>82441444
>3rd apperance
Wikipedia is not good enough. And learn proper English.
>>82440946
Books of Magic started out as a tour of magical DC stuff, and ended up being about Tim Hunter. So yes, that is what happened.
>>82442010
I'm not using Wikipedia I'm counting.
He first appeared in swamp thing then hellblazer 1 and killed a friend in hellblazer 2
>>82442040
I felt Tim was just a framing device.
Besides they probably already had the basic plot for all 4 issues by the time issue 1 was released
>>82441289
Guy had it coming, though - he unleashed said demon on the world by his selfish behavior, and it was either him or the planet.
>>82442485
Bit that always bothered me about that story why after years of faithful service did the postman open the package
>>82438024
Because she knows that Constantine is a bastard son of a bitch who would sell his mother in order to win, in other words, on a group that fight with magic and supernatural beings of the worst kind you are needed at a similar monster to anticipate their movements, even if it means sacrificing his entire team to save the world
>>82442371
And then it started up again, and was about Tim Hunter.
