I know this wouldn't happen for a bit, since they have to resolve all this stuff with the cluster, but I would like to see an episode where Steven decides he wants to join Connie at school, so he convinces Greg and the Gems to enroll him. He starts to go and is his usual cheerful self, in spite of teasing from other kids. Through his own optimism and Connie's support, he begins to break through the bullies shells until they become his friends.
Then Ronaldo bursts in, rambling frantically about the Diamond Authority and holding an assault rifle, which he then opens fire with. Steven and Connie team up to take him down and, at Connie's urging, kill him. This would begin an arc where Steven wonders whether humanity is worth saving at all and if he made the right choice in stopping the cluster.
