My guess is because it had a "you will never have a judy hopps gf" OP. Maybe they didn't want to start things off like that.
Kingdom Hearts canon.
I want to stomp out a Heartless controlling Bellwether.

He worked on some of the Tokimeki Memorial games.
Really hope we get to see Zootopia beat Minions' domestic record, even if it doesn't have a shot in hell at touching the international one.
Seriously, rest of the world, what the fuck.
My second-favorite minor character is Mr. Manchas.
Is it me or is Judy a lesbian? She doesn't like girl stuff, and the only character that liked her was that butch polar bear woman.

I don't play shitty games so I've never played anything he worked on.

Wait, Japan got Zootopia and CW at the same time? Why? Is Disney trying to split their own profits? Or is Japan generally just not a huge market for them anyways.

Japan got Zootopia on April 23rd, they got Civil War on April 29th. It wasn't about "let's pace these out", it was "GOLDEN WEEK GO GO GO".
>>82407138
I guess there's that, still seems a bit strange.
>>82407111
Its all about China, that's why they didn't cast an Asian as the ancient one because they didn't want to lose China by casting real Tibetians.
Even it's really because Asians are the most fucked by Hollywood casting stigmas.
>>82407117
Yeah, I get that, I'm just incredulous at the gap between #7 here but #2 worldwide.
>>82407111
Well, Japan likes Spider-Man, at least. Maybe they should have put him in the film more.
Woah, hey guys, welcome to zootopia!
>>82407111
It wasn't just Japan, Civil War released in a ton of countries worldwide last week. It's only being a direct head-to-head competitor with Zootopia because of Zootopia's Japanese delay to late April.
Also, just noticed that Turkey's theatrical Zootopia release date of June 10th is going to come after the Blu-ray is out. I wonder if they even considered that when they were setting the home video schedule.

Here's Mainland China. They're all pretty much "replace one rhyming character with an animal name". Looks like "Gigantic" is probably going to be "Jack and the Beanstalk" in China, but here they went with the somewhat less inspired "giant beast".
>>82407680
But that's the Chinese-subbed English-dub version, right? The Japanese one only changed the text on the covers for the Japanese-dubbed edition.

The thing that surprised me on the Chinese version I watched (I decided that three trips to the cinema was quite enough money spent for me) was that, even though there was the panda newsreader, his mouth synced up with the English dialogue. But why? Wouldn't it make sense to sync it to the Chinese?
什么?
>>82407726
The trouble is, the Simpsons can at least inject some kind of originality and freshness by introducing new elements, but Case Closed is always going to be tied to the endless cycle of murder mystery after murder mystery. Should I go see The Jungle Book in (real) IMAX? Will it fill the hole in my heart from not seeing Zootopia in IMAX?
>>82408056
The jungle book is not Zootopia, there's nothing in it that's trying to be cute, so avoid any kind of associations in your mind with Zootopia to avoid being unnecessarily dissapointed.
I'd say JB is worth seeing in IMAX (haha, unfortunate acronym). It's pretty astonishing realism for what is essentially an animated film. It doesn't indulge in "epic" grand sweeping shots, which is actually quite refreshing and makes it feel more realistic. But towards the end, whenspoilers spoilers spoilersit's very dramatic and worth seeing in megahuge IMAX etc.

Ah good, that's what I thought, I'll stick with 2D then.
I remember the revelation came when I was watching The Hobbit, kind of crappy movie anyway, but I suddenly realised that if I took the glasses off, the colours were all MUCH brighter and nicer, even if the screen was now all fuzzy and unfocused. I debated a bit with myself and eventually opted for going without the glasses unless detail was needed.
So yeah, good to hear.

Because animated animals are:
Ten times more cuter than real life animals.
Have no chance of biting, scratching or infecting humans with diseases.

>>82407402
Detective Conan is like that cash cow where the cow is a bloated corpse of money and they keep beating it to death.

>>82408194
Unfortunatly target don't ship these internationally. I guess i'll have to get the amazon version
>>82408482
Id's a meem u dip
>>82408383
I'm biased, I love the 3D by far and prefer it over the regular format. It appears so vivid to me but I have to sit center and as close to the screen as I can so that it fills my vision and requires minimal head movement to see the whole image.
>>82408479
That's pretty much unavoidable with the current technology. Even if you boost the brightness of the 3D image to bring it up to par, taking off the glasses is going to make it much brighter overall because the glasses are designed to block roughly half the light from the screen.
>>82408479
As a techfag I know why. 3D glasses literally filter out 50% of the light coming from the screen. The left eye only grabs lights that come in horizontally and vice versa. The stupidfags who designed 3D movies didn't compensate for this, so all 3D movies are 50% less bright than normal ones, and thusly, suck fucking ass.
>>82408504
Between Detective Conan, One Piece, Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, you have to think that Japanese people are all afraid of change and trying something new once they like something and keep throwing money at laughing corporate owners.
>>82408540
That is one tiny fucking gun.
>>82408570
We do get some 3D films that come in separate DCPs, one version designed for standard lamps and another designed for brighter lamps to compensate, but that would involve installing and maintaining brighter lamps.
i welcome our new zootopian overlords

Well, depressingly, that's just a fact of life. If there's something you want and you're having to go through secondary resellers because its original source isn't available to you, then it's going to cost more. But that's hardly surprising.
You just have to ask yourself how much you want the target version, and whether you're willing to pay extra to get it through eBay.
I'm currently facing the UK scene where we have jack shit announced, and all the amazing looking US blu rays and special features and etc will probably be region-locked and not playable for us even if I did want to pay extra to get it over here. Sucks.
