>Only comic I kept up with before now was Paranatural
>decide to read this on a whim
>It actually keeps it's update schedule with better art and an extra page a week

What a novel concept.
>>
>>82402470
Yeah, Ashley, the creator, is crazy. She updates often and always exactly when she says she will, and with an above average finished product to boot. I think I'm in love with her work ethic and consistency. Also I've heard she's got large mammos.
>>
>>82401508
The fact there was a time where Rahm wasn't such an ass is a little sad
>>
>>82402470
Ash is honestly one fo the best comic makers out there. Deepest lore, Deeper lore on her tumblr, can actually write and actually draw, never missed an update since the comic started. (there are pauses between each book but she tells you when she's back and she always does that too).

Also, Ash is cute. Cute!

Bad news anon.
>>82402881

She cute though. I don't even want to corrupt this. I want to protect that smile.
>>
>>82402749
I have to assume she has a script that puts up the pages since they come up at exactly 12:00 EST.
>>
>>82402911
She posts em herself early sometimes though.
>>
>>82402881
I also enjoy Abbadon from K6BD though he isn't nearly as good about his updates, he posts a ton of lore about the comic though and frequently comes to threads on here.
>>
>>82402908
Different anon, but there was another picture from a con awhile ago and they looked bigger there? But she also looked less skinny, maybe she's been working out more.
>>
>>82403020
Never seen that one. She does say she bikes a lot though?
>>
>>82401508
Did Rahm join the Black Tongues after his son died? I know Black Tongues can't really have kids after they join because of... obvious reasons.
>>
>>82402881
She was real nice when I met her, just generally a cool gal.

Hoping to see her again at MegaCon if I can make it.
>>
>>82401701
Fucking reality itself decided Dani needed to be shredded. I mean, props to him for his attempts at experimental pymarics but god damn was that a rough one.

>>82402336
Man I didn't even notice that Rahm didn't have legs. I guess his choice of billowing clothing makes more sense.
>>
>>82402470
It helps that she goes on hiatus every often to build up a buffer. Something Zack needs to do.
>>
Invisible legs is kind of a lame super power to get from a freak accident.
>>
>>82403912
She does it after every chapter. It's pretty brilliant, honestly. I'm happy to wait a month or two for a regular update schedule featuring gorgeous art and a brilliant story.

I was pretty certain that photo would end up here after I relented and put it on Tumblr... I got into cycling in the last year and literally rode my tits off. Went from an F to a C cup. I'm pretty happy about it, now I can wear awesome teeshirts.

But my corporeal form is irrelevant to Unsounded as long as I still have hands to draw it, hmm?
>>
>>82410084

Do you think all the exercise has helped or hindered your amazing work ethic?

Like, are you feeling healthier and thus able to focus and work longer, or is all that exercise taking time away from the crazy drawing hours you must put in?
>>
>>82410720
It has pulled me away from work to a degree, yeah. But in the long term I need it for my health! It wasn't good for me to be sitting down all day every day, you know?

>>82410800

>It has pulled me away from work to a degree, yeah

For your sake and ours, please don't try to compensate and burn yourself out.

So many of the webcomic artists I follow suffer from health and specifically wrist problems. Your sizable buffer and between-chapter breaks probably help manage this, but drawing takes an unexpected toll on the body.

Please don't push yourself too hard. I'd rather wait through a longer chapter break if that's what it takes to make your production pace more sustainable.
>>
>>82411121
Thanks, bro. I try to keep things in balance. I actually may have to take a week off at the end of this month since I'm doing my one yearly convention, and the prep work is kind of kicking my ass. It's also out of town so I can't come home at night and work like I usually do. We'll see what happens, but I will always endeavour to do my best for you.

Honestly sounds like an interesting experiment to know more about. You wouldn't think a flying machine would result in a core-leech-like event or have anything to do with removing the visibility aspect from a dude.

Give how cohesive, if still admittedly written for the narrative over any thing else in her own words, Cope made pymary, I wonder what happened? You have to majorly fuck with things to get the khert to wipe you from existence. That means the flying machine was making you fly through something a little more than basic kinetic forces. I wonder if it was removing gravity aspect or generally tampering with forces too fundamental for man to touch?
>>
>>82411457
It was probably a hyperkhert drive. A fine way to invoke PERILS.

People are going to comment on your looks whether you think it matters or not, just don't let it get to you like Beaton. Remember, everything posted here is for humorous purposes.

Also, love the comic, but feel disappointed the bottom panel was cutoff? Just layout wise, it feels like I should be seeing the rest of his body disappearing in front of his eyes. I dunno if it was supposed to be a big reveal, but if you're going for a magical body horror thing, it's a bit of a let down.

It's certainly some bullshit that great online comics like Unsounded and K6BD do not get nominated for the webcomic Eisners. Or you know, Power Nap. Bouletcorp. Stand Still Stay Silent. Alpha Flag. Mare Internum.

I hate the print prejudice there. kek'd IRL when John Allison picks up a nomination for Giant Days in its first print year when he's been writing the exact same shit online for like 15 years already.
>>
>>82417669

>>

I know, but you get what I mean. It just bothers me that quality generally gets ignored because it's not done by an established print industry creator, or because it doesn't come out in monthly sequential issues under a studio.

don't hesitate to take that week off if you need it. I'd say you've earned it for being one of the most reliable webcomic artists I've known in terms of update schedule.

Of the ~100 or so webcomics I read, I think only Gunnerkrigg Court has a better track record for reliability.

SS,SS puts out insane page volume - daily weekday updates? - but that means she stumbles occasionally or puts comics up at odd times (not that it really matters when I use an RSS reader).

Ash talked about how all spells agitate the Khert a little bit, and if you piss it off too much, it bites back
>>
>>82421388
Pymarics are tools created using first materials, which carry their own internal kherts that operate separately of the larger kherts processes. As such, the khert doesn't really check them to make sure they're working properly. If one has access to special tools to access and manipulate that inner khert, the changes can thus be held indefinitely.

We've never really gotten info on how these first materials handle shit like having fundamental aspects removed. Given how they generally work, it would seem that they don't annihilate like they do in the normal khert because pymarics rely upon having sustained, reality bending properties and being immune to the kherts usual clean up processes.

Given this, what may have happened is they fucked too much with the inner kherts separation from the normal khert, allowing it to some how spill in and start "fixing" everything by removing it. As to why Dani, and Rahm's legs, got caught up in it, perhaps the khert went wild when the event happened. The "indepedent, directed flight" bit, and how much the pymaric resembles a pair of wings might also mean a fundamental aspect of the device was to join very closely with the "entity" that is the pilot. The khert's clean up crew gets in, sees what appears to be a human with far too many parts and basically goes-

>If the gods wanted man to fly, they would've given him wings

And just baleeted the mess. Though that doesn't exactly explain Rahm. That second to last panel makes it seem like the core leeching happened from a specific point in space, so maybe it was something so monumental, EVERYTHING in that area was affected, regardless of specifc ties to the device. And Dani and Rahm were just caught in it. Who knows if Dani's hand there disappeared with the rest of him. If not, it's not a normal core leech, which deletes the entire person because of how the khert defines things.

Ashley, if you're still in this thread, I tell all of my friends (well, those in the subset who read webcomics) that they need to read yours because I truly consider it to be the unparalleled top of the heap.

Also, I don't expect you to respond to this part of my comment, but I feel an annoyance bordering on actual personal offense that a content creator like you, who invariably holds firm to a promised 3-update-a-week average, while consistently creating a product of such baffling quality (visually, writing, and lore/continuity-wise) should still be compensated less through Patreon than artists who do not display a modicum of your diligence, humility, and professionalism. The fact that Aaron Diaz makes thousands more a month than you for putting out a shoddier comic at a snail's pace compared to yours, all while exuding snark and entitlement in his woe-is-me-ism makes me shake my head on a less than infrequent basis.
>>
>>82422761

Rather, more than infrequent.
>>
>>82422761
Aaron Diaz is a fucking hack though, and we've seen how well the comic community treats hacks.
>>
>>82422761
You're sweet, Anon. Please don't let money or popularity frustrate you. It's just numbers. I'd rather have a small, cool base of readers who care enough to throw me a few bucks to keep the lights on than a crowd of needy sycophants. Or any crowd at all, actually. The magic of webcomics is their smallness and intimacy.

I want to always be able to come into 4chan threads and shoot the shit with you glorious assholes. If the comic was too much bigger that'd be more of my day spent shipping out books and dealing with social media and Q&A. Unsounded is a good size just the way it is. Don't wish for more. All is well.

>>82422139
I will later, buddy, I gotta do some stuff. Ashley out.
