I don't have a twitter but if I did I would just tell the directors that their team did a marvelous job in animating these characters. The scene where Nick messes up the math when speaking with Bogo is also very cute.
And a cynical part of me would also like to know if the shipping was considered in the marketing.
I'm happy they are leaving that as something that can be explored in a sequel, but the advertisements and Music Lists obviously appeal to shipping.

>>82186994
signatures are for squares
Y'know, on repeated viewings, I've noticed that there's really no downtime in the film. It's all very neat and orderly, it proceeds to the next plot point right away with few breaks.
It's odd because I normally like that but in this case I just wanted to see more of the city and various other tidbits of everyday life like Judy going about her job and Nick talking about the past or whatever.

I think what this film did that the last two Disney films didn't really get around to was worldbuilding. The creative team obviously put a shit-ton more thought into the world of Zootopia than in either Big Hero 6 or Frozen (those were the last two animated canon movies released, right?).
Not only were the main characters interesting, but the world itself is detailed enough to support multiple stories. You just want to see more of the stuff around them.

Hard Drive gets plugged into a port on the outside of the projector. File gets read off of the harddrive, decrypted with a symmetric key usually delivered over the network which is encrypted with, iirc, a hardware key built into the projector. If you try to do anything with the projector besides plug in a disc, it refuses to work until a certified technician from whoever built it comes by and resets it.

There's also the fact that I think 35mm has better color, and I love seeing grain and gate weave. It's really just a personal preference. I'm excited to see 4k laser projectors coming around in the future, but it worries me because theaters can't afford to replace their projectors every few years when some new standard or some better image quality comes around. 35mm lenses and projector technology has been pretty much unchanged since the 20s.

>>82188328
I used to work of a company called ballantyne strong. We serviced the equipment. It's not a single unit, the projector typically sits on top of a rack and there's a server in the rack for playback...along with automation controls and sometimes the amplification.
The files are delivered as a harddrive or downloaded over Internet or satellite. Inbetween the server and the projector are a series of cables carrying encrypted signals somewhat analogous to hdmi. It isn't always that way though. Some theatres are not compliant and they sometimes have issues getting digital prints.

Sure it's a digital concept. They're going to be printing to the 35mm prints with 4:4:4 colors, and the prints are going to carry every bit of that color information. I have also never seen a digital projector with blacks as good as a 35mm print, even digital IMAX. 70mm IMAX is even better.

Not denying being of furry influence, but that screencap is turning me on much more than it really should. Thank you for the crop
