And I've got no problem with attractive human characters for that matter, but when artists make the aliens just human for the easy route - or even worse, the males are monstrous while the ladies are awkwardly human with some extras it's just so goddamn painful. You can go wild yet you stick to the known, easy thing you can beat off to, real vision there. Shoutout for the alien designers of the PT, I liked a lot of them.

Well, that's a pretty gross oversimplification of the character. The game goes out of its way to point out that while her teachings have some merit, her worldview is flawed. The main teaching she tries to hammer into the exile again and again is that thinking for yourself and coming to your own conclusions about things is the best way to go, and that rigid adherence to morality and dogma inherently drag you down, as it did the Jedi, and her, and her students.

I don't know who Zizek is.
Essentially, her own plans were to teach the Exile about the force, and help them grow. Her own end-game was destruction of the force, but she spends the whole game telling you not to trust her, or anyone for that matter.
She also makes a point of indicating that altruism and selfishness are both bad in excess, which are core aspects of the Jedi and Sith.
Its less about ideology and more about questioning and considering your actions and how they impact others, rather than just blindly doing the morally right thing, or just acting out of your own self-interest all the time.
At the end, she pans out to be a hypocrite, never really following her own teachings, showing that she's as broken as she claimed the Jedi and Sith were.

Because that is all her character boils down to. It's not about her trying to get you to think for yourself, it's her trying to sway you to the side of the Sith, to understand her hypocritical dogma, as she herself says. In a black/white world such as Star Wars there are only two paths, one in where you follow the Light and one in where you don't and her dogmatic views whether you want to assume they're gray in teaching or not, only lead down one path, the Dark Side. There is a reason she and all of her students turned. If you want gray you take Qui-Gon or Luke as examples, not afraid to back-talk the Jedi Order but still heavily follow the light and try to up-hold the natural balance of Light/Dark in the galaxy and only stop to deal with the Sith that corrupt the balance, which still involves following Jedi Code for the most part, as opposed to Traya's "Jedi and Sith are stupid, do what you want, question everything, become a paranoid force wielder, end up just like me, a Sith Lord".

I think a lot of her criticisms of the Jedi are valid if you accept her premises, but the game keeps showing her premises are false. Zez-Kai Ell and Kavar are nothing if not humble and devoted to doing real good in the galaxy, and even Vrook, despite being a stubborn asshole, mostly berates you for the consequences of your actions and inactions rather than your failure to follow dogma.
Hell, she even said the Jedi would never admit they were wrong to exile you, but Kavar tells you he made a big mistake, and Zez-Kai Ell openly admits he doesn't know if it was right or not.
While Kreia herself may have wanted you to be just like her in the end, there's still an awful lot to learn from her, so long as you keep your wits about you.

Vader did he wanted, for what he legit thought was the good of the galaxy. Look at the Ghosts of Mortis episode, despite knowing that he'll become Vader and the things he does, he's still willing to push Obi-wan out of the way to prevent the war and save more lives, even if that means some lives ultimately have to be lost and he has to suffer for it. As Vader he's willing to undermine Palpatine and take over with his son, if it means getting this lying psycho out of the way so he can take over.
Vader and Dooku were pretty similar, they both wanted good for the galaxy and those around them they cared for, but ultimately just couldn't escape what was destined to be. While Vader is more akin to a villain and Dooku an anti-hero, they both display heavy anti-hero qualities when you look at it, Vader's just slightly more twisted, but he would be a good ruler in comparison to the Emperor.

I'm glad they're expanding on the Mandalorians a bit. We knew their sovereignty was a bit tricky in TCWs. The moon of Concordia had it's own governor and Satine's powers were limited there. We also know Kalevala is a planet within the Mandalore System that wasn't just Satine's homeworld but had it's own Senator. Now that we know they have colonies in other systems things get a bit more interesting.
Like any good warrior culture with aspirations of waging war across large parts of the galaxy I imagine they did recruitment, indoctrination of conquered peoples, offered spots within their houses and clans to anyone willing to convert. Many of them seem to hold their warrior heritage as practically a religion. Obviously outsiders ruling over them, especially outsiders who have sworn no oath or affiliation and don't consider themselves part of Mandalorian culture, is a tricky subject. Started a nasty civil war, not that there is any other kind of civil war.
Got to wonder how they feel about the Empire since Poppa Palpatine sets up shop on worlds. Building academies, barracking Stormtroopers, installing Regional Governors. I wonder how the people of Mandalore feel about that.

I think there are two potential schools of thought on this matter. One is that when the Mandalorian population reaches high enough levels and as long as their warrior ways are in full force they go out and start some galactic level shit until eventually been pushed back. Like a culling every couple of generations.
If they hope to actually conquer parts of the galaxy in their warrior past they'd no doubt need to eventually recruit from worlds they conquer to replenish their ranks.
I don't think we have any data yet on which they do in the new canon. We know they're touchy about outsiders using their armor, but it still leaves open the possibility that there are ways of proving yourself worthy of joining a House or Clan.

I imagine the Mandalorians were pretty peaceful for the most part during Satine's time, but disagreed with her practices on complete peace and wanted to uphold the warrior culture ways.
By Sabine's time and the Empire, it seems like a mixed back. Some seem to hate it for basically being slaves, while others see it as an opportunity to enrich their warrior ways, like Sabine at first with the Imperial Academy, granted she was willing to join Black Sun and the Rebels as well to just blow some shit up. Her greatest art masterpiece will be the created in the blood and gore of her enemies.
See now I wonder if Rebels was a more teen/adult oriented show, if that would actually be the case for Sabine and that she used the bodies of those she killed or killed them in such a way that it would create art and her tag was basically just blood tags.

Satine had some issues installing her government. It wasn't just pacifism she wanted to undo a lot of their warrior mentality, which naturally hit friction. Lead to Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon becoming involved, but wasn't like a fully blown warrior uprising. The warrior Mandos had already been largely defeated by the rest of the galaxy and exiled to Concordia where they died out. They sound more like what she felt Death Watch was at first, which was a gang of hoodlums playing at an insurgency. From what we know they mostly just tried to throw money at bounty hunters to kill her. So definitely not true warrior Mandalorians. Those weren't restarted until Pre Vizsla restored Death Watch.
I'm really interested in seeing the planet again in Rebels. From what we saw of Fenn Rau, a group carrying on the name of the Journeyman Protectors of old, they tolerate the Empire, accept their money, but they don't really seem happy. The Empire is just considered so big you have no choice but to accept the reality of it.

Yeah Mandolorians definitely seem like an odd bunch, a collective of ideals more so than a completed warrior sect these days.
I begin to wonder if it's all House related and certain Houses teach certain things in their entirety, with some breaking from tradition and such, such as Satine.
I for one am glad Sabine is getting the brunt of the S3 stuff, she desperately needs it to fill out as a character and not just be present, and it gives us more of a look into the Mandos during the Empire, and it's going to be really interesting with Maul back and the Ezra stuff too going on.

From the commando books a male/female mandalorian could make the choice to officially claim offworld children as part of his family name and by extension proclaiming they are mandalorian.
That could also extend to adopted children of other races or basically anybullshit coupling where someone who has the actual mando title considers someone to be part of there family.
it's really more up to outsiders if they want to put up with the bullshit that comes with it.

It's kind of funny, really. The way I understand it the warriors were exiled, COULD even be exiled, because their latest round of wars had lead to a spectacular depletion of their own ranks. When the rest of the Mandalorian population finally had enough of their shit the warriors were too weak to resist. As I understand it though it wasn't that the warrior clans were exiled leaving only the plumber clans and telephone cleaner clans left on the homeworld, but the warrior minded members of the clans. I can only imagine it working as a kind of medieval system where each clan sends a contingent of their fightin' members to serve in crusades. That's the only way it makes sense to me given House Vizsla has a noble history of fighting against the Jedi but hadn't all died out. It's probably more accurate to say they exiled their hardliners who refused to give up their old ways.
Kind of interesting, or at least I think so. I still find it amusing how pissed off the Traviss fans were claiming Lucas had made them all peaceniks when in the first episode they were revealed we find out that this isn't true. They merely set it up so that the Mandos were dealing with the natural end result of any people dedicated to thousands of years of warfare, i.e. many of their worlds are bombed out, strip mined, or require domed cities in order to live there. Satine's point was that they had to fight - against their own instincts and culture. Lest they drive themselves to extinction.
Even then it seems like her entire government has been facing a string of crisis. Bounty hunters at the start, Death Watch, her own sister is a member of Death Watch, a senator from her own homeworld tried to assassinate her, her Prime Minister was poisoning their kids and actually threw her in prison when he staged a coup, then years later Maul shows up and takes over.

Agreed, I think they just exiled all those that still thought the war with the Jedi and Republic were still going on and were actively causing massive problems all around, or at least best they could.
I'd really like to see some Rex Squadron interaction with the Mandolorians and in general old Clone Troopers. I wouldn't mind to see Delta Squad return as elite troopers under Vader hunting down Ghost Crew and Rex Squadron and they end up turning to Fenn Rau and some stuff goes down, and then Maul shows up and we know his history with them.
It's definitely going to be interesting going forward.

Apparently just to feed themselves they had to import goods, which is why when the war made supplies scarce Almec claimed he was supporting Satine's government via the black market. Not that he wanted a bunch of dead kids, he felt he was doing a necessary thing.
I don't know... I can see Satine eventually being forced to relocate the population if their supplies reached the critical level, but I think she's always maintain a token presence just for the sake of governmental continuity. If that makes sense. I think if she abandoned the homeworld completely her rivals would use that to turn the public against her. Although by the point where she'd have to evacuate, hell, she'd probably already be deposed before it reached that level.

I think there is a certain point though that no matter their warrior tradition and love of their homeworld, they'd realize they need to relocate. I'd assume with the Empire they're getting fed and kept up so they can keep the Imperial Academy around, but I don't see an outcome where staying on Mandalore benefits anybody involved, and I think a lot of them realize it deep down, no matter how stubborn most of them are. Maybe it wont happen in Satine's life time, well it obviously didn't, but by TFA or so, they have to be dwindling at this point. I mean around they have, lets see.

That might be part of their issues then actually. I mean genetically incest doesn't hurt beyond an immune system drop. Considering their planet and how some of them seem to have problems with certain things, I wouldn't doubt that years of incest has destroyed some of the immune systems.
Then again, they could just travel to say Coruscant meet a nice man/woman and bring her back, have babies, and they go out and explore and meet people, as opposed to just straight up kidnapping.
