Instead, the best we got was a few smaller references, like that one to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

>>82141716
Well, that and the other thread's dead.
Ahh, 95 hours left. This'll be ready in no time!
>>82142390
Its funny, when I see the screens you post I can see the tiny tell-tale signs of the up conversion. I got the same effect when I had to upscale photos when I worked in a print shop. Looks clean still, but the lines get just a little wiggly. Works for animation though.
all dese drawfags are making me feel worse about my already mediocre drawing skills, but they also make me feel really grateful to see new content.
Im conflicted.
>>82143758
Mediocre is at least a good starting place. I feel like garbage all the time about my art and, while I've improved, I've kept myself back from doing any major projects because of it. Keep at it, as will I. The only way to get better is to keep drawing. Stagnation will get us nowhere.

Anon, Waifu2x is some really resource intensive shit and so is After Effects. So unless you want to get the frames and encode it yourself, you'll have to wait for the rest of the frames to render. That, or I could find a free After Effects render farm...
>>82146371
Okay then, there are no AE render farms. Fuck that, then.
Any way to get wiafu2x to work without installing cuda? Like just having the DLL files in the directory?
>>82146879
You don't need to install CUDA, just get the cuDNN dlls and throw them in the directory.
My upload includes them.

>>82166145

No one who frequents these threads cares about the show. Only waifus and shipping. It's been cancelled for over 10 years. What the FUCK could there possibly be to talk about? SU threads are deleted on sight during hiatuses (as they should) but these threads are ok why?
>>82166145
Favorite/Least favorite parts?
The designs in this show are outstanding and incredibly unique, and most of the voice acting is pretty solid.
However, Tuck hasn't aged well. He can be annoying, is usually the source of conflict in any episode he's in, and rarely ever gets his comeuppance.
>>82166145
>>82166194
Pretty much this.
The show has stopped for 10 years, no new content for 10 years except fanart to talk about mostly these days.
>>82166194
>these threads are ok why?
Because, unlike SU, there's not a thread up 24/7.
These threads only happens during the monthly meet up, and when OP can't control his thirst. If it wasn't for the remaster project this second thread wouldn't have happened.
>>82166477

Please tell me you're going to use chapters like [intro] [part a] [part b].
>>82168485
Can After Effects do that?
If so, then yes, yes I will.
>>82168510
I have no idea.
AFAIK it's one of the features that makes .mkv the superior container.
Apparently you can also shave a bit of filesize (and possibly encoding time) by having the intro as a seperate file in the folder, and then link it to each episode with chapters, but I have no idea how that works or if I'm just spewing uninformed bullshit.
>>82168639
Yeah, Matryoska is definitely the way to go here.
Too much bandwidth, the need for chapters, interpolated episodes (You know, MKV allows for different video streams. Maybe this could be the solution for everyone's problems - one for 24fps, and another for 60), audio streams being muxed in after the video content is rendered, encoded and ready...
>>82168485
Seems like Gedächtnis is going to fasten some bolts tonight.
>>82168740
it's just one of*
derp
Chapter usage is very common, if not the norm, on /a/ stuff. Sadly, none of the rippers/encoders that does western stuff bothers with it.
I mean, it's there and it's a neat feature so why not use it.
A show may have a really nice intro/outro but listening to the same thing for 50+ episodes can get annoying and then it's nice to have a fast forward button that only skips that particular segment.
>>82168890
Consider it done.
All episodes done in Project Athens are going to have chapters, 60 and 24 switch in a single file, low compression (high bitrate), and all using MKV.
>>82166477

It had some pretty... fair... concepts, and it gave you a basic idea of scenario and characters, but overall it was a clusterfuck, the characters were off-model (in terms of personality) all the time, things were very very confusing - you never exactly knew who was who and what they were doing, much less where they were, everything was really poorly defined, grammar errors everywhere, all the likes.
In other terms,it reeked of 2005 internet .
Okay, now we're almost at 45% complete.
Here's something interesting - the path Waifu2X takes when it analyzes and upscales images.

>>82166212
I think Tuck is actually pretty great at times. I think for cartoons like this, not much justification is necessary besides "Tuck is mischievious".
I loved Tuck in the wrestling episode, in the episode where he becomes Sheldon's partner, and the one where he has to film the movie. Also in the boy who cried wolf.
Aesthetically, I loved all of it. The settings were cool, backgrounds were great, lots and lots of facial variety, it really represents a Twilight period of a certain brand of cartoon animation.
In terms of least favourite parts, the humor could be really hamfisted and unfunny at times. Jenny herself can be construed as 'boring' which I think is a fair assessment, but she is supposed to be first and foremost reacting to the actions of other characters. She's not meant to be the comedic relief.

As a native huelander always bring your stuff from abroad. Every time you go to somewhere with reasonable priced electronics you come back with some of them as your personal stuff. Returned to your country to see your family? When you return to Brazil come with a laptop/external drive/cellphone/tablet.
There is a reason why so many of them in Miami. Often it is cheaper to pay air tickets, go to US, buy quality clothes/electronics and fly back than buy the same products in hueland.
