Not really. They had a pretty clear direction since it was basically set-up wise, just a typical super robot anime. Problem was, it got cancelled after one season so they had to rush things and bring things out to a somewhat satisfying conclusion by the end.

If anything, it was pretty interesting with the many angles they were going in. Galaluna, General Modula, the inter-service rivalry between Solomon's group and the American military, who Solomon was, his origins, and who he was working for period, all the surprisingly not bad high school drama, etc.

Could've been one of the GOAT Western cartoons if it had gone on for another 2-3 more seasons.
