Why did the later episodes of Billy and Mandy get lazy with their title cards? A lot of the time it was just character models placed on a plain-color background.

Probably because less effort was put into them.

Post your great episode with epic title card.
The next scene after the title card is literally Scarr standing there looking at his watch just like in the title card.

this really is lazy

it went on for too long and they started to show how much they didnt care

A white background title card... are you fucking serious.
>implying title cards are important
are you the same fag from the storyboards threads

It's the first thing you see to know what episode you are watching.
It's design is on screen between 5 and 10 whole seconds as the title disappears and the credits continue
They are important, storyboards aren't even fucking related you retard, those don't go massively on screen public to watch, these do and it's still an important aspect to shows that do have TITLE cards.

>Ew this title screen is gross, guess I'm not watching this episode
Said no one ever
>>81976180
Are you purposefully missing the point to make that joke or are you trying to be a dick and being stupid about it?
I said it's a public thing, unlike the storyboards he/you referenced. Storyboards are hardly more important than I title card in the "public viewing" category.
Never said the whole episode would be ruined by a shitty title card, my point is lazy ones like some of the ones posted here would make the people who pay attention to it more bored. Title Cards, atleast for this show, are supposed to grab your attention, if we had a black screen with small white text in Comic Sans, saying the episode title in all lower case, while this is much worse than what's shown, would be shitty enough to be disappointed in. Still watch the episode? sure, but you've missed my point.
