Thoughts?
>>
>>81938317
I felt like it needed 10-15 more pages to flesh out some things, which is something I never thought I'd say about modern comics
>>
>>81938317
Fapworthy.
>>
Most definite WW story, desu senpai.
>>
I enjoyed it
>>
>>81938408
The fact that you jumped right to "cuck" at a single word denoting nothing specific says a lot about you.
>>
I really liked it. I thought it presented all of its characters decently and (except maybe Etta) with room to grow. The art was fantastic.

It seems to have offended a lot of people by either portraying Amazons as a society that is opposed to men (I mean, duh) or by portraying the Amazons as insufficiently perfect to modern social mores (again, duh).
>>
>>81938457
How would that be /co/mblr?
>>
>boring trial
>Steve barely has anything to do
>vilifies the amazons even though it's supposed to stay true to Marston.
I just want to see this Wonder Woman demand loving submission from criminals. Can book two come out faster?
>>
>>81938526
Knowing how much it pissed off Sacagaweas/MRAs made me enjoy it even more.
>>
It was pretty good
>>
I hate the wait for Vol 2

Grant actually did it, the absolute madman. Pissed off both sides.

Are the sequels actually happening?

Are they actually happening within my lifetime?
>>
>>81938873
>Are the sequels actually happening?
supposedly yes
>Are they actually happening within my lifetime?
well it only took WWEO what like a decade to get made? you'll only be 20 years older by the time the sequels are out
>>
>>81938873
Safe to assume all the Earth Ones have sequels until otherwise stated. No one gave a shit about Teen Titans and it's getting one
>>
>>81938317
I really enjoyed if. It wasn't great but I thought it really cleverly riffed on golden age Wondy.
>>
>>81938457
That's not /comblr/, that's /pol/.

/comblr/ would be if he called it misogynistic.
>>
>>81938526
>These characters flawed! What is this bullshit???
I mean, thee end of the story gave the heavy implication that the Amazons are going to start re-examining their views and man's world. And Diana herself is naive and somewhat arrogant, but does genuinely want to help people. Character development, what's that?

I don't get the complaints at all. But then, I was just happy to see a bit of sober balance in the portrayal of the Amazons for once. They didn't come off as caricatures of either extreme. They're just people who happen to have a radically different culture than anything else on Earth.
>>
>>81938873
Morrison is apparently already 25 pages into the second volume so it might be here by 2020
>>
>>81938317
It's just another Wonder Woman origin story. Nothing special.
>>
>>81939731
To be fair, Paquette finished a while ago, they've been delaying it so they could release it close to BvS

>WW fans insist Amazonian society is perfect
>insist writers never change it
>want to keep it in perpetual stasis like this comic depicts
>WW fans are the misguided Amazons

>you will never be more meta than Morrison
>>
>>81938317
I like it. Especially the artwork. Yannick Paquette style cut from the same cloth of Cho, Dodson and Hughes.

I wonder what people who read it because they like WW in the movie will think

The only reason they made Steve black
>>
>>81938317
I liked it aside from black Steve. There was no point in changing his race other than to play the slave card.
>>
>>81938317
Sasha Grey.
>>
>>81940606
And it gave his character meaning.

Like, what other reason did Steve Trevor ever have for existing?
>>
Kind of plotless and by plotless I mean there was no fight
Plot=Fights
Where was the fights?
Coulda fought Medusa then hugged it out or something
>>
>>81941198
Morrison said some shit about only having the men fight, because apparently the women are above all that.
>>
>>81941192
Being Diana's damsel?
>>
>>81941198
>I reached a point in the book where I thought there was going to be a fight scene between Diana and the Amazons, and I suddenly thought, "No, wouldn't it be better for her to actually use the rules of her culture, which are based on submission and loving authority and all these weird Marston ideas?" She actually uses the rules of her culture to get what she wants. So all through the book she uses cleverness and cunning and high intelligence, and she kind of works situations to suit her own needs.
>>
>>81941198
He literally said from the start that there wouldn't be a fight
>>
>>81941192
Being that he's the first man that Diana ever meets and her connection to Man's World.
>>
Making Steve black was worth it for the collar gag page. I just wish he was a more moe looking black guy.
>>
I liked it. Felt like it needs another volume to get to the really good stuff, though.
>>
>>81938317
Fapworthy art, at least, apart from the occasional derp face unless your into that sort of thing I guess. The story's boring and the characters are either forgettable or just annoying.

Hopefully the next two volumes get cancelled early but not before some more bondage themed art is made and then leaked on the interwebs.

>thinking you have to be an mra to dislike mahate island
Heh
>>
I enjoyed it. I don't think this was Gant's intention, bu this book accurately captured why WW isn't as popular as Batman and Superman. It's hard for a mainstream audience to get behind a hero founded on femdom and bondage.
>>
>>81945702

WW is inherently complex and people like simple ideas.
>>
>>81945870
>what if women who are into BDSM ran the world?
>complex

Okay.
>>
My wife's biracial son loved it.
>>
>>81940823
Indeed.

Well meme'd
Has anyone told you that you're hilarious today?
>>

Why is she so famous? Really I haven't watched any porn so I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL WITH HER? But, just for looking at her face, one thing I can say for sure: she sucks dick for good

Yeah, I'm a Wondy fan but I totally agree. She's got very weird origins.

It's absolutely no coincidence that the most popular she's ever been was under Perez when he completely ditched Marston's ideas.
>>
>>81947970
In porn there is or was (really unitl Sasha) a direct correlation between how attractive and young a girl is and the kind of sex acts performed on camera. She was the first or one of the first really cute FILTHY WHORES. That's how she got popular Her scenes weren't the dirtiest most degrading scenes out there but they were some of the few with a really attractive girl. That sparked her popularity then she did a few talk shows and interviews and was able to string together sentences without sounding like she dropped out in tenth grade. So that added this 'OH, she's an intellectual' persona to her. And I think people felt better about jerking it to a girl that made an informed choice to do porn instead of failed actress/singer or I had a kid and McDonalds career path wasn't cutting it.
>>
>>81938317
It was fine. Art was better than the story though. Characters needed a lot more fleshing out but I could say that about every WW story. Best thing I could say about it is I was pretty hard the whole time I was reading it.
>>
>>81947944
My wife's biracial son has.

>She was the first or one of the first really cute FILTHY WHORES. That's how she got popular Her scenes weren't the dirtiest most degrading scenes out there but they were some of the few with a really attractive girl
anon, please, be more specific,. Give me some examples
>And I think people felt better about jerking it to a girl that made an informed choice to do porn instead of failed actress/singer or I had a kid and McDonalds career path wasn't cutting it.
My sides and I agree with you
>>
>>81938317
It was very well done and engendered every theme, meta analysis, and direction that a Wonder Woman origin story crafted by Morrison should have.

I look forward to this universe. Call me cautiously optimistic.
>>
>>81938317
I felt that there needed to be a page where Diana refutes Steve's cynical paranoia that drove him to lie about Paradise Island's existence.
>>
>>81945702
Her origins not that complex. Super powered princess of an all female society leaves to become a superhero. Throw in some Greek shit and bondage and boom. It's relatively simple but the problem is you can't relate to it. Superman is an immigrant fighting for his new home, Batman seeks vengeance and justice for his dead parents, Spider-man repents for unintentionally killing his father figure. These origins are emotional and easy to relate with for most people while Wonder Woman's isn't and that's why people don't like her as much.
>>
>>81948682
Not sure why she would considering how mortified she is by how those in charge have been handling 'mens world' based on what shes seen.
>>
>>81947970
She's acting outside of porn now. She retired from getting anally ravaged and swallowing cum.

>>81948366
>Her scenes weren't the dirtiest most degrading scenes out there
She drank ass milk.
>>
>>81948775
She was just lashing out because she saw someone die in front of her for the first time in her life. Based on her dialogue, she kind of just assumed that Man's World had Purple Rays, and tries to rationalize this lack by blaming the men for letting women die - it's clearly a conspiracy like her mother said - pointedly ignoring all the hospitalized men around her.
>>
>>81948843
I knew she was good at sucking dick.
>ass milk
wat?
