What went so horribly wrong?
Sony had no idea what they were doing
>Spider-Man
>Magic?
>>81830747
>Sony Pictures
There ya go
>>81830788
They did, they just couldn't reach the heights they were aiming for.
>>81830747
>>81830747
When did they ever talk about magic in the movie? Or even imply that?
I've been reading some stuff about Sony and it has become clear that they have lost their fucking minds
>>81830747
Spider-man man 3 venom, Amazing Spider-man man lizard.
>monster faces can't emote, so let's make them more human.
I find it rather fascinating to see how extremely fucked up the people at Sony Pictures are

someone post that sony leak e-mail where an exec is trying to aggressively advertise to millennials with the spider-man movies.
>>81831130
I don't know what that is, but I want it.
>>81831130
Sony leaks are GOLDEN. People dont know what the fuck they are doing and all
>>81830878
Crawling back to Marvel was probably the best decision they had.
>>81831130
Got you familia.
>>81831396
>A two hour indie music video
>>81831396
Jesus.
>>81831396
>the origin of Electro
>>81831396
The guy who wrote this probably wishes they got Ezra Miller to be Spider-Man
>>81831396
>>81831819
Hey, that pic was Sony's fault too!
>>81831396
How involved will Sony be with Spider Man Homecoming?
>>81830789
I didn't know Ezekiel was in this movie!
>>81832306
Involved on paper, in practice they'll bend over and take it from Feige because they know it's for the best.
>>81832583
They'll probably take control of it and fuck it up once it enters post production
>>81830747
I dont get it
Is Hollywood really such an insulated community that this slideshow is seriously the type of shit that is circulated to producers?
what the utter fuck
do these people really think that "Categories" make or break a movie, instead of it being fucking good??
I bet kevin feige doesnt use "categories"
>>81832306
Basically zero. They get all the movie's profits and handle distribution, but Marvel is the one actually filming everything and has merch sales 9and Spidey in the MCU). And I believe that another condition is that no one from Sony (Arad, Rothman, Pascal) is allowed to be involved in the making of the movie.
So basically, everyone wins.
>>81832872
>that this slideshow is seriously the type of shit that is circulated to producers?
Wait
Is this seriously what Sony actually used
>>81833162
Yes, it was revealed from the Sony Pictures hack from a couple of years ago
>>81833058
IIRC, Pascal is involved as a co-producer alongside Feige, but she'll probably just let Feige do his thing.
>good hero
What did they mean by this?
>>81834789
Cooperate lingo. Something Sony is really professional at
>>81833162

>>81831396
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>81836076
I forgot about this shit, it was so fucking insane.
People get paid a shit load of money for this.
>>81830936
I still think if they just gave him a damn snout he would have been better.
>>81839151
But how will they sell antivirus software if the Lizard has a snout?
>>81839184
Fuck it, try selling Nos Energy drinks instead. Have a commercial where Lizard is trying to drink from the can but cannot because snout. Then Spidey takes it and drinks the whole thing real fast and is extra energized to kick Lizard's ass.
oh no, doctor connors class
ASM1 wasn't especially great but you had decent groundwork for a decent universe.
ASM2 tries to be a million different things at once while missing the appeal of a lot of rhe characters and their stories. It's depressing because there's a decent film in there somewhere.
I was reading the Sony leaks last night, after they announced the Emoji film. It's amazing how out of touch they are.
>>81840882
there a place where all the sony leaks are posted?
>>81841025
They're all on Wikileaks. You have to search through rhe archives though, and there's a lot of generic stuff.
Also a PDF I wanted to read entitled "Spider-Man Scenarios" was sent but seemed to not be on the site? There is one guy who outlines his spin off ideas. And an email from the Russo's offering to produce at one point.
>>81840882
What do you expect from the studio that made Jack and Jill
>Sony was considering an Aunt May movie at one point
Will never not be funny
>>81830747
Too much Tall Buildings, not enough Man
And Uncle Death didn't even make an appearance
>>81843452
One does wonder what the product placement niche for uncle death would be.
>>81842773
Shows how fucked up Sony is
