Of course there is, if you create it. These are fictional characters, guys. Despite what your personal preferences is about how they "fit" or what they have/don't have in common, these characters can easily be written in ways to make anything work.
SM/WW was harmless. It was a team up book within the context of a romantic relationship. Maybe if writers focused more on the actual romance, and less on events/villains of the week, there could have been something.
If the animated adaptations have done anything right, it's depicting the Clark/Diana relationship in a sensible way.
