When I watched the first movie I was pretty pissed that Splinter had no connection to Hamato Yoshi and that he and the turtles learned ninjitsu out of a fucking self-help book. I mean, that's just so goddamn stupid.
But I've been thinking: what if this movie takes a page out of the IDW comics and goes for the whole reincarnation thing? Even if they just hinted at it, it would make so much more sense. What do you guys think?

This is gonna be great. Michael bay may not make the more intellectually provoking movies but he sure makes the most fun explosion movies. At this point you might as well have to accept that whatever adaptation he makes, it's going to print money and make the property hotter than ever before which works out for me, more TMNT is great in other forms of media.

Same here. I wasn't all that thrilled about the design, plot, etc, but it was still enjoyable for what it was. This one seems like they actually listened to the fansto an extentand gave it the right mix of comedy and seriousness. I'm still iffy on Amell as Jones, but I was also that way on Reynolds as Batman and was pleasantly surprised.

The fights look potentially fun.
The dialogue and everything else, while well-cut for this trailer, have that Michael Bay aroma of awkward stumbling attempts at comedy.

I really like 2012 Shredder. He's a fucked up individual blinded to his own faults like any good villain. He kidnaps his "daughter" forces mind control worms into her brain and behaves like a concerned dad who is just doing what is best for her. Then he murders his enemy and dooms the world.
