I was genuinely excited for AI. I knew nothing of Humphries and only knew that it was a fucking great premise.
A disgraced scientist and his team of various science experiments deal with the coming of the Singularity and how robots and people interact in the Marvel Universe. That would've made a great book, that's fucking Avengers meets Asimov.
And while it has nice character moments from Pym and the Doombot and all, I thought it was pretty stilted and boring. It really just ended up being Humphries scraping the bottom of the barrell for robo-baddies for them to fight. A random generic AI possessing that renegade Iron Man armour from that one storyline that happened once? That was weak.
