I imagine it would be really easy to cause accidental deaths with Flash powers. Barry got his powers in one big burst. At least with Clark it was a gradual process over his teenage years where he got to practise. With Barry all it takes is ONE accidental push into some old lady at anything over 40 miles per hour.

Shit talking aside, I think Fox killed the Flash with DoFP's Quicksilver.
It was such a standout that it forced DC to change up the formula to make their speedster not look like a knockoff.
Marvel compounded it further by generifying the brand with AoU's Quickslav.
The Flash is going to be the third big screen speedster and they can't really just play him straight without people seeing it as cheap imitating.
So they're forced into sexy Flash.

I love Quicksilver as a character and honestly his both cinematic appearances have been really underwhelming
Fox's Quicksilver was good and the slow-mo scene was amazing but he felt like a plot device more than anything and then just leaves for no good reason
AoU's Quickslav was such a not-character he was outright disposable, his powers didn't even seem as interesting and did nothing of note.

I'm personally glad Ezra is gonna be the Flash.
Out of the upcoming three DC movies that BVS was a trailer for him as the flash is the one i want to see the most.
Firstly because from everything i've seen he genuinely seems to be into acting the shit out of this role. He clearly has real interest and doesnt seem like an 'i guess ill take this job for and easy paycheck' kind of actor. Which could make for an interesting take that id rather have over 'guy who looks most closest to the character regarding hair color'
Also I wanna see how they do speed force and flash effects on a feature film budget. Because despite getting shows there has yet to really be a hollywood movie with a speedster as the star as far as i know.
