Why did you phrase your assertion in the form of a question?
I actually hate this episode.

What's wrong with you?

I liked it. But mostly because it was from the time when Bart was still a brat and you could take joy from his suffering. It also has a very cute Homer and Lisa bonding story line.

This and Homerpaloosa are my two favorite episodes

i find it weird
a lot of the episodes from older simpsons still hold up yet whenever i watch an episode from 2011 it feels dated
why is that /co/ ?
>>81593342
That's not Lemon of Troy.
>>81599147
Youre stuck in the past but treat it as the present and treat the present as the past that was a lot shorter
Or zombie simpsons is just bad
>>81598337
I think this episode is funny because if Lisa stayed there for like a month she would have gotten sick of pretending to be cool.

It was authentic, they wrote from experience, they wrote what they knew and thats why it was it holds up. In the older episodes they placed a common feeling/situation everyone has felt before. After a while you got nothing to work with and its easier to draw whatever is relevant. The current social media sites now, and whatever relevant pop singers exist now will never hold up because people will forget and just not know.

It is a good episode, the boys have a nice group dynamic we don't get to see all that often. Since the whole "road trip" thing is an experience most often shared among college age or older guys and the kids seem kinda written that way in it, this episode does make me wonder what The Simpsons would have been like if they had aged the characters as the show went along. With the conclusion being "probably a lot better than it is".
Any classic ep where they go to the hill that overlooks all of Springville at night is top comfy. Like the one where Lisa dates Nelson.

I dislike this episode, the cool kids feel more like walking caricatures than actual people which makes the ending feel particularly forced
>>81593342
Because of the Lisa and Homer subplot.
>>81604289
try as I might, the thing I remember most about this episode is lisa saying that even moe knew when she threw up on the dentist.
somehow makes the whole thing feel kind of gross to me, even though it's not shown and the simpsons has done way worse things like homer eating the old sandwich
>>81599147
Vat? There's many classic season episodes which are very badly dated.
