If they bring her back, please for the love of God make it some kind of epic quest for JNR to go on that soaks up so much time that it makes it implausible for them to do this with every character kicking the bucket. At least make it a full on journey for these three to embark on into some untold depths of Remnant that's plagued with danger and adventure, and make her resurrection more about the awesome journey as opposed to the destination itself (That being the act of resurrection itself).
You could grow Jaune as a leader, grow Nora and Ren as partners, and have a rebuilt Penny tag along for the ride because she wants to be there when Pyrrha comes back to tell her she's not mad at her or some other innocent cutesy reason that only a doll could come up with.
Have them do this while RWBY is reformed and off doing more dark and depressing stuff for a season. Make the theme of that season Hope vs Despair or something.
That would at least make it tolerable and you could even spin some good story and character development with it for the ones ON the journey, and death wouldn't appear as meaningless as it would if you just Dragon Ball'd her back to life.

Coco seemed overpowered against GRIMM in the breach, because she's a huntress trainee who's weapon and style is made to fight them.
She was bodied by Mercury because he outspeeds her and he was often between Coco and Yatsu in that fight meaning that she couldn't fire on him without risking friendly fire.
Also, her weapon just isn't that good against people.
On the other hand, Mercury is trained to kill people, not monsters.

It's going to be a while before they replace her arm.
And Yang has always been kind of shitty with kicks, primarily preferring the power of punches.
So now that she's an arm down, next volume she'll be retrained, and learn how to put more emphasis on kicks (While it also serves the secondary purpose of getting her out of her funk)
And then later on, probably at the very end of the volume, she'll get herself a new sleek robot arm that can pass for a "Real" one that has synthetic skin similar to Penny's, and it'll also have the power to transform into a Barret style gun arm, a Megaman style energy cannon, or an old fashioned Guts style cannon ball. Maybe even some kind of sniper arm to add extra long range to her arsenal.
The loss of an arm, and then regaining one later, will overall force her to fix the weaknesses she had "Beforehand" and become more skilled all around.

I'll admit. I'd bang a decent Lightning Cosplayer if given the opportunity. Her Character might've been shit, but her Character Design was all kinds of excellent. Monty was a pretty lucky guy.
