This might help. This was made for the DC universe, but it technically represents all universes/realities, even Marvel and our own real world.
All the Earths in the center represent all the different universes. Marvel would be in there somewhere. The Bleed is the space between the universes, and the Speed Force encompasses all of them and can be tapped into by anything on the inside.
Everything else, outside the inner sphere of the multiverse, exists in some aspect for all universes and realities.

The only way they win is to give them alone knowledge of the confrontation beforehand. If the Marvel side knows too the league's will be countered. You can't out Reed in a team that offers the numbers and versatility of the X-men along with the Avengers roster.
If it's a surprise for both Marvel would win with heavy casualties but victory would be all but guaranteed due to numbers. The JL can be huge, but the X-men alone outnumber them.
