I could tentatively suggest you read Prez, it's pretty hilarious though it's not a Superhero book.
Doctor Fate and Constantine can sometimes produce a chuckle but that's not the point of the books, Midnighter is hilarious and pretty violent but he's gay so that could be a turn-off for you.

They had to re-enter the atmosphere without heat shielding, so they just stuck Glob on the front of the shuttle.
He's naturally flame retardant, but some of him still melted away.
He's back to normal in the next issue.

Check out Red Hood and the Outlaws.But seriously, you want something with twists and turns that may not come back to every plot point it introduces? Stick with Hickman and check out his Manhattan Projects.

GIllen's Journey Into Mystery and Ewing's Loki: Agent of Asgard are great. Sadly, Gillen did a run on Young Avengers between them that features the character but it's entirely skippable!
