It's got Idris Elba in it, of course it was gonna be good. He's never been in anything truly horrific aside from Prometheus. Luther, The Wire, Beasts of No Nation, RocknRolla, Obsessed, American Gangster and Zootopia just to name few.

it did great though. They even had a clothing line for it. And of course promoting a certain Frozen short that aired before the movie as heavily as the movie itself didn't hurt. It wouldn't surprise me if they did another one before another weaker release like the BFG or Pete's dragon.

Really? I thought Cinderella was great. You could really feel Branagh's influence on it, more so than the Thor movies, and it didn't toss in revisionist twists like Maleficent. It was more or less the traditional story and still managed to feel fresh and wholesome.

The fact that Disney is being so derivative of their animated movie when the differences with the book were so big they could have easily done a more original and creative version doesn't help at all.
