Some good mostly bad. But since I was a teenager by the time it came out I barely watched it because I much preferred comedy central and adult swim.
>>81518632
It did provide character designs for rule 34 instead of the tube shaped beings the original series had. Goddamn I have seen some shit as far as rule 34 goes.
>>
It was an interesting concept that was SUPPOSED to be a one-off special.

Greenlighting it as a series was a bad idea.

Angelica and Susie were seriously the only of the kids to act reasonably believable for their age.
>>
>>81535265
Yes, because they're teenagers.
>>
Seriously, what the hell.

>making a 10 year old a neurotic film student who has crushes
>>
I have some nostalgia for it. I know it's bad, but I just can't help but get nostalgic for anything early 2000s.

As a kid, I was too young to care how bad or good it was. I just enjoyed seeing the characters I grew up with having "fresh new" adventures.
>>
>>81534434
Great taste anon.
>>
>>81535492
This is what I never understood as a child. They weren't grown up, they were teenagers.

>making a 10 year old a neurotic film student who has crushes

That was awful, how did such an alpha adventurefag like Tommy end up becoming such a pussy?

The other characters weren't that badly written other than him and Dil being an average /x/ poster (but it's not like he had a personality as a baby), I even think they did a great job with Angelica who was actually pretty nice compared to how she was a three year old where she was sometimes worse than Satan.

>>
>>81535572
>seriously missing Slipknot, 9/11, Iraq protests, and a space shuttle exploding
>>
It seems like they really badly wanted to appeal to the 12-14 year old audience but did so in a way that made the characters unbelievable for the age they were supposed to be.
>>
Well if Amazon.com annonce the full DVD seasons of All Grown Up Then I can have all the episodes and the slut.

not as good as the canon adult Rugrats
>>
It reeked of cash in.

The theme song is still stuck in my head even though I haven't seen the show in like 10ish years
>>
>>81530696
Yeap it was the only time i see a nigger being cucked by a white man
>>
It loses what made Rugrats unique and interesting. At the end of the day, it was a poor man's As Told By Ginger.

Also, the problems that the kids regularly dealt with were generic teen drama plots despite the fact they were all supposed to be 10-11 years old, not 14-15.
>>
i thought they were supposed to be in the 13-16 range but apparently they were like, 10. surprisingly mature 10 year olds.
>>
the writing made no sense considering their age
>>
If your a fan of rugrats.
It's comfy as fuck.
>>
>>81518044
Its the kind of show that you watch while you wait for something else to come on.
>>
It was kinda pointless.

Rugrats main selling point was they were babies. All Grown up was just amongst the 9000 shows on nick about teenage life.

The franchise kinda ended with the birth of the Satan Child, dill pickles.
>>
>>81518044
I was disappointed when it aired because they were 12 and 13, i wanted to watch them in there collage years, other than that it was pretty boring.

Almost forgot about him. Never had I seen a character make the main character, having to keep breaking character and his friends turn on him on occassions because of Dill, look like jerk.

Tommy grew up looking skeevy as fuck for some reason. Probably makes gonzo porn films now.
>>
>>81545323
Tommy films
Phil does sound
Lil does music
Chuckie does editing/web presence
Dil/kimi are actors
>>
It was sorta alright, sadly a good portion of the episodes were essentially "Remember when they were babies? Now they're kids" in attempt of feels.

It was also one of those shows where tweens more or less acted as if they were full on teenagers, so that was really confusing.
>>
Missed opportunity to not have Tommy deal with antisemitism
>>
>>81530911
Yes.
>>
An absolute fucking mess of ideas that never should have gone beyond a special episode. Turning it into a series just highlighted all the stupid directions they took with the characters in an attempt to appeal to "hip" teens who wouldnt care about fucking Rugrats in the first place.
>>
>>81518044
I always hated all those shitty slice of life cartoons on nick.

What kid wants to watch that garbage? Kids want fantasy not this tween drama garbage. What kid would willingly watch as told be ginger when they could be watching something 10 times better on Cartoon Network.

Klasky-Csupo's time had passed. After Rugrats Go Wild underperformed, Nickelodeon's new golden goose was Spongebob.

Just a fucking cash in on the original series. It's your typical high school series with more drama than comedy compared to it's parent show. The title is hypocritical as it the characters are schoolers and not adults.

It was sad we never got an episode where they learned about bad eating habits.
>Angelica starts overeating as a social activity
>Suzie gets caught up in this with Angelica enabling her
>Angelica gets doughy, Suzie just develops nice curves and noticeably larger breasts
>Angelica gets depressed about the sudden difference in their figures and Suzie's new popularity with boys, most often when they are together due to the contrast effect of being side by side
>doubles down on comfort food gaining more weight
>Meanwhile Kimi and Lil have taken notice of Suzie as well and try to emulate her diet for their own development
>climax is a chubby Kimi and Lil as well as a very fat Angelica confronting Suzie about her luck with her growth

Meaning : They're freaking jealous Susie isn't a tub of lard.
>>
>>81554166
I was thinking the healthy eating moral would be that Suzie just happened to be ready for a growth spurt and the extra calories helped fuel it they all get a lesson in eating right and be patient for their own development in puberty. Jump to a few weeks later when we see Kimi and Lil are almost back to their original weight after taking up a new diet, bragging that they might have actually retained a bit of extra fat in the right places after all. Then Angelica waddles in unable to break her habits and looking as big as ever.
Implied status quo after the fade out and next episode everyone is back to normal, Kimi and Lil's development is forgotten and their former character models are used, Suzie's growth is downplayed and only a fraction of it remains
>>

>The title is hypocritical as it the characters are schoolers and not adults.
you can't be this much of a fucking chair-rocking autist to be actually angry over this lol

Like Pacifica's breasts, you mean?
Not a trace of it in the second season.
>>
>>81518044

Decent, but painfully generic because it coasted too heavily on the fact that it was Rugrats rather than having any unique ideas.

I stopped watching it when the art style became saturated as fuck.

There's nothing wrong with watching a show where some of the stuff that happens to them actually has a high possibility of happening to you in real life.
