They'll have to give us some magic, if only to establish the basic premise of the movie.
The first Iron Man teaser is probably a good basis for what we can expect, seeing as he and Strange have some similar beats in their origin stories:

It's got a few action beats in there, a couple of brief shots of his escape from the cave and some very quick shots of the Ironmonger fight, but it's almost all what they already had done with practical effects. The only prolonged CGI shot is at the very end, and it doesn't show much.
This is probably close to what we'll get to Strange. A lot of character stuff to establish his before-and-after personas, a few jokes to make him relatable, stuff that establishes his accident and his humbling search for a cure, and then some rapid-fire FX shots basically stringing together the few CGI shots they've mostly finished so far.

I honestly warmed up to him. We spend too much time on this shithole of a website and forget to take things just as they are, the guy's not a terrible actor and he isn't a boring cool/manly guy, you can at least admit that he's unique and interesting, he brings something to the table. He fits the role, even considering Strange's appearance is based on Vincent Price - they have the same long type of face.
