Morrison's writing, the new costumes, and Quitely's art in general was like when The Wizard of Oz turns from black and white, drab Kansas to technicolor fantasia.

I enjoyed it, I think a lot of the cape books of late that have pursued single characters have been overall better than the team-up/crossover stuff (Vision, Midnighter, Constantine, Cpt. Marvel). The more focused character history leads to a less decompressed and more empathetic overall story.
