a lot of human expressions rely on small details like just how close to closed the eyes are, if the corners of the eyes are taut, tension in different parts of the face, slight lines around the mouth and cheeks, if the lips are pursed or pulled,
a furry's expression can get away with being less accurate without triggering uncanny valley, and most have emotive ears and tails that basically act as a cheat sheet for emoting.
tl;dr furries attract autists because its significantly easier to read their expression and body language, making them easier to relate to than humans
