Thor 2 had more fantasy stuff but it sucked. Thor 1 was a better movie because Thor was more entertaining as a character, even though the movie was mostly a fish-out-of-water comedy with a few fights. Everything about Thor 2 was just plain boring and forgettable and demonstrated an inability by the writers to figure out what to do with Thor when either A) he's not part of the avengers or B) isn't being a bumbling fool trying to figure out how to interact with modern Earth.
On paper, yes Thor 2 was a step in the right direction by being more focused on fantasy, but it was two steps backwards because it failed the fundamental task of being a good fantasy movie.

That scene was powerful because 1) it showed Batman that Superman was much more human than he'd realized, and 2) it was a sobering reminder that he was losing his own humanity to his obsession with vengeance.

Cap is "comic book peak human".
Superheroes in comic books that are "peak human" at Cap's level tend to be ridiculously physically strong, way more then they should actually be.
Example; Batman in the Arkham games can fairly easily rip free grates bolted into concrete and with one hand bend and warp metal covers over wiring in a slow and casual fashion.
You could say it's not canon, but Batman: Year One IS canon and in it he does stuff like toss fuckers through brick walls, shatter bricks with his bare hands and take down a good-sized tree by kicking it in the right place.
