for me, it's my favorite cartoon i've ever watched. the amount of love that goes into this show is incredible. great music, great art style, great jokes, funny references to older cartoons, and great messages.
i love every single character, they're all so funny and full of personality. i love that this show gives almost equal amounts of screentime to the villains as it does for the heroes.

I’ve written many posts of how we like to experiment with different types of cartoons on Wander over Yonder and tonight may be one of our oddest experiments ever. Love it or hate it we bring you…
The idea for this episode dates back to Season 1. We wanted to try and make a Cartoon filled with nothing but low brow and crass jokes but do it in a way where you actually don’t SEE anything gross or disgusting.
Sort of like a safe, squeaky clean Disney-fied gross, out cartoon of the ‘90′s.
Typically this type of humor doesn’t really appeal to me, but the challenge of seeing if we could pull it off did. So we pitched it to Disney and they said No. Even if we promised not to show anything, they said No.
So THE PARTY POOPERS was put on the shelf destined to be the Wander episode that never would be.
As I mentioned earlier we like to experiment with this show and we experimented a lot on Season 2 and each time we did the Network was really pleased with the results. Cartoons like The Breakfast, The Cartoon, The Black Cube, The Eye On The Skullship, My Fair Hatey are some of their favorites of the Season. So knowing that they trusted us to try new things we submitted THE PARTY POOPERS once again and this time they said….Welllll OOOKAY, you can try it.
So we did, we tried it.
Love it or hate I think all depends on your particular sense of humor. But we kept our promise and didn’t show anything gratuitously gross and made one of the most high class, low brow episodes of Wander ever.

Disney said it themselves, "we're done with it, 80 episodes is enough". Disney does not want to keep funding a show that is a moderate success. They want to find their new Gravity Falls and since Wander already has like, 65 episodes and has not managed to reach that status, they figured it's never going to and want to move on. They would rather take Wander's season 3 money and fund it for other series that MIGHT be their next "big thing".
It sucks for the fans, but if it weren't for Gravity Falls ending, Disney might have given Wander another chance. They're really concerned about not being relevant because they don't have their own Spongebob right now, so they're trying to push Star Vs. incredibly hard until they get their spotlight show. Star was their highest rated show next to Gravity, so that's why it got two renewals while Wander got zero.

They did that to Gravity Falls because season two was already close to be completed and Hirsch told them "I don't want a season three". The ratings for a show that will not be renewed doesn't matter because they don't need the fanbase to come back, they just need the fanbase to buy merch + DVDs. I'm assuming the issue is how the audience consumes the show. Disney measures the audience watching through the cable providers. I for one watched the show online and binged it in 3 days and loved it. If i had to watch one or two episodes a week alongside reruns it would be much less enjoyable.

I know they're kids, and I know it's supposed to be somewhat annoying and over the top, but every fucking story segment or most of the times the kids (and the older sister) talk in The Legend was unbearable.
Every one of them had decent aspects but holy shit each one made me cringe hard. I know that was the purpose of 90's Wander's segment, but that wasn't the only one.
I can't stand that one kid singing and I certainly can't handle that fanfiction character.
The only parts I liked was the start, and the in-between scenes with wander and sylvia.

I can't tell you how many times pacing has been an issue and on his twitter he's blamed how "Disney won't let me go a frame over!" but within season 2 episodes go from being 22 minutes and a couple seconds, to 24 minutes, mind you this isn't a special event like AToTS where it was 30 minutes without commercials, but regular episodes that were given extra minutes like it was nothing.
I think Part 1 of Weirdmageddon was the one that had about 25 minutes runtime, that's like 3 minutes extra, and here he was saying a frame would get him fired.
He just says things at the times to where he looks good and Disney, the big bad people see them as anyway, were in the wrong because of his bullshit.
I just wish he got into the business when he was older, he'd be more serious (maybe) and handle the pressure more.

I think that one anon earlier in this thread was right; it really depends on your tolerance for humor. It wasn't exactly crude, in fact nothing was even shown or said, but the implications are enough to make this episode extremely divisive.
At the very least though, they didn't half ass the crude implications, they went whole hog on the jokes. I found it hilarious in a "crosses the line twice" sort of way.
