If you didn't realize it would be shit three years ago when they announced this movie with a DKR quote, you're a retard.

There was nothing wrong with this movie, it's a 9/10

The only legitimate criticisms are
>Editing
>fun

The editing wasn't bad, and it was fun too. Just because there wasn't a quip every second, doesn't make it boring.

I am just going to say, I wouldn't mind seeing another Superman movie where it is Caville Superman vs. Gods and Monsters Superman.
That would be pretty cool.

>>
>>81412017
I must be a fucking pleb, because I don't know what it means when a movie has "bad" editing. I mean, I would assume bad editing means shit like jump cuts and cutting off dialogue, but apparently not, and nobody ever gives any examples.

I thought the movie was great. Did my second viewing last night. It actually gets better.

>mostly bland acting

>swiss cheese plot
>multiple useless scenes which contribute nothing to the film
>constant symbolism integrated with zero subtlety

>9/10 movie

call me a MCUfag or whatever, but BvS was a fucking trainwreck
>>

Actually it was the DKR quote and Snyder directing at the same time.
Dude loves comics, but only from a very specific era and of a very specific type of comic and his track record at adapting anything but the most superficial aspects of them has been rather poor.

The rewrite of the movie sixth month before it came out just confirmed it.

People need to stop saying this, it really isn't true. He looks at panels and likes the pictures.

There was hardly any fun. It was a complete pisswank of pretentious talking.

Not your usual quipfest, huh?

He can't even name a comic he likes.

Not even like off the top of his head.

He could have just said DKR and it would have been fine

I think we can sum up every issue with the movie in two words.

For capeshit? Maybe. It honestly was what Watchmen needed to be.
As a legitimate film? You need to see more movies.

The only thing that really bothered me was the explosions animations, those looked really cheap.

I loved the movie and would go again.

People that absolutely hated it, decided it was bad 3 years ago. The pacing, choppy editing, and length are legitimate criticisms. A lot of the nitpicks are just confirmation biases though.
>>
>>81412265
Without having seen the movie I'm guessing those people are actually trying to complain about the plot structure, as in how one scene lead to another. Which yeah, if it's a problem you're supposed to correct it in editing, but it's not an editing problem itself.
>>
>>81413355
Can someone explain this meme to me?
If you don't bother giving an image a quirky filename, it's bait?
>>
>>81413652
A lot of it was weird. The weirdest one for me was when we were mourning Superman and feeling sad then at prison with Lex with Batman being angry, then we were back to mourning Superman again. I tried to make the audience feel too many things in too little time.

The movie was good not great not terrible it wasnt a trainwreck or a masterpiece. RT was the only one to give it such a bad score and lots of people had multiple viewings because if your not uptight about it its actually a fun movie. A solid 7.5

I held on to hope, all the way up until Lex was cast. Then i died and my hopes along with me

I agree it's unfairly shit on, but I wouldn't call it a 9/10.

7.5/10 maybe. But not a 9. The editing problems and Superman still being too passive and unemotive are both huge issues.
>>
>>81414127
>7.5
That is such an insult to competent filmmakers.

It had obvious flaws but was still good. Once they release the full version I have no doubt it will be a lot better

>TDKR
>not being GOAT

>I have no doubt it will be a lot better

I have a lot of doubts. I liked the theatrical release well enough but I don't trust Snyder or the rest of the studio execs to understand what didn't work about it in order to fix an extended release or director's cut properly.
>>
>>81412265
Example 1: The dream scene was not only terribly coriographed, but a bit forced..
Example 2: It seemed like Lex's overall scheme was solid, things like Lex threatening Clark's mom wouldnt be sufficient enough to cause him to blindly fight Batman. If anything, it would only serve to expose his plans. Superman could quickly work out a plan with Batman to save everybody. They probably would've been able to kill Doomsday faster and with 1 less casualty
