What could they parody? Is the show too "early 2000s" to even come back?

The gang gets stranded on a desert planet when a crash landing knocks off Megas' car-head. The body of the mech landed on the other side of the planet so Coop, Jamie, and Kiva are forced to drive across a desert wasteland to get back to Earth.
Unfortunately, while stopping at an alien base called Gas City to pick up some fuel, Coop foolishly let the aliens know that Megas' body is just lying around waiting for someone to take it. Now the race is on to be the first to reach Megas.

On an average day in Jersey a bushy-haired, smooth-talking, lanky alien named Spark with a sleek red spacefighter that can transform into a smallish mech tries to capture Coop for the enormous bounty on his head. However, Coop is totally unaware that the alien is even trying to capture him, and keeps escaping unaware through sheer dumb luck.
Subplot with Spark hitting on Kiva and her actually kind of liking him and responding positively, with Jamie being insanely jealous.
Climax with Spark and Coop having a mech fight, which ends in a draw and turns into a fistfight. But, before Coop can throw a single punch Jamie rushes in and beats the absolute shit out of Spark.

I honestly never got this. Apparently writing off the broadcasting rights to the original show means that CN can't do reruns, but does it also mean George Krstic can't license the rights to the characters/plot/etc?
>>81368376
Dont forget a Red Line episode. A violent race across an alien war zone would be right up Coops ally

Don't forget OPM.

I tried to rewatch it but something was painfully off with the audio. Tried different torrents and sites to see if it was just bad rip or something but I can't put my finger on it. I think there's really no bass in the dialog and audio? The audio just felt really flat and distracting. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Yeah, I kind of get that feel. I sounds almost empty somehow.

That'd be a tough match-up because both characters are almost literally unbeatable for the sake of a punchline. One-Punch Man kills everything in one punch because it's funny watching him struggle with non-traditional superhero problems rather than "I wonder how he's going to win this fight", and Coop always manages to pull some ridiculous secret weapon out of his ass because it also makes for a funnier way to resolve fights than if they played it straight.

For some reason, many people (not just here, but also on YouTube comments, Facebook, etc.) tend to lump 2004-2005 into their "early 2000s" equation and not the mid-00s. It's fucking weird.
>>81367418
Parodies are only gold when it's done in the time period that it's being done in. Megas XLR's target audience was basically young adults in the early 2000s looking back at what made the 90s fantastic.

A rare alien hunter and his motley crew are on the hunt for Jaime as he's a dead ringer for a rare species of humanoids thought to have gone extinct from lack of women. Unbeknownst to either side, Gorrath and the Glorft Empire are also after the alien hunter, and seem to want him more than Coop at the moment

>Mega Man X
Two robots from the future travel to the present to stop an evil robot from trying to kill some kid, who one day grows up to build one of the robots. At first they mistake Megas as the evil robot piloting some giant mech armor, so Coop as to battle them. The robot who is like X copies the specs of Megas and transforms his armor to resemble Megas. After a short battle, they realize they fucked up and the other robot who is like Zero, goes to find the evil robot, while the X-like robot stays to help repair Megas, meanwhile, Kiva tries to use this opportunity to return to her time, but Coop & Jamie are reluctant to let her. Since they'd lose Megas. Once Megas is repaired, Coop helps the two robots fight the evil robot who has a mech of his own (Looks like Big O). They defeat the evil robot and stop him from killing whoever would grow up to build the X-like robot, (BTW, it's that kid who says "cooooooool" all the time.)
When Kiva asks to return to her time, the robots cannot allow it as humans are unable to travel through time by the method the robots use.

Buck, Larry, and Otto come back to 2017 excited to see the coronation of President Trump. However, they are alarmed to find a giant robot from far in the future has been destroying New Jersey for years and it never tripped their time alert system

Not really, I remember one ep they hopped in the car and megas just kind of exploded up through Coop's garage like it was buried underneath it. It was probably another running joke like the console that it was consistently inconsistent on how it worked.
