Is The Joker the greatest comic character of all time? Who else truly represents the darkness inside all of us, the wicked laugh in the back of our minds that calls out to us in our darkest nightmares and permeates society to be the face of our fears
Superman is better.
Read Secret Identity.

how can you be so right for such wrong reasons
>>81315192
Hmmm?
>>81314407
No. You're welcome.
>>81314407
Joker is just really easy to put in a movie/tv show. Paint a guy white and make him laugh a lot. Instant cheap ass supervillain.
And way more interesting than shaving their head and calling them Luthor.
>>81316200
Admit you're afraid of the Joker
>>81317042
I never got that fear of clowns, those kids are faggots.
He's a twisted fucking psychopath with a wicked sense of humor.
>>81317241
Yeah, I mean I saw It as a child on TV and I still never got the fear of clowns
Yeah, Joker is pretty great. He's just a very interesting character for a villain, and I don't mind him being inherently evil. He's good at it.
That and the way some artists draw him is cool as shit, anytime they give his face lots of shadows or to the point where hes just a blacked out face and his eyes and smile pop out like pic related.
>>81317042
Fear of clowns makes sense when you start to think about the type of person that considers being a clown as a viable career choice. Clearly there is something missing up there in those guys.
The Joker is a piece of shit villain that is only allowed to be so out of control and insane because Batman keeps saving him indirectly.
If Gotham PD is as corrupt as most comics make it out to be, Joker would have been shot 10000 times 'resisting' arrest decades ago.
>>81318892
I think it's more of a reverse Lex Luthor/Superman thing with Batman and Joker. Batman refuses to let anyone harm his husbando no matter what he does.
Childhood is liking batman. Autism is realizing the joker makes more sense.
Joker gets a pass and gets to job everything because he is mainstream popular. There is literally no reason he should be an issue for the Rogues much less Wonderwoman and Superman villains.
>>81319139
pretty sure it's Antisocial Personality Disorder that causes Joker to make sense
>>81319103
that too
>>81314407
So he's fucking Heart of Darkness in human form? That's it?
Why doesn't the Joker just kill the Joker?
>>81319426
Azz was doing it on purpose, right?
>>81314407
>Is The Joker the greatest comic villain of all time?
FTFY and I agree.
>>81319525
I wish Joker was still written like this. Evil, but legitimately funny sometimes.
>>81319525
>that delicious indignation plastered on Batman's face
Batman really is easy mode
Joker is a good character to exist just so when some shitty writer wants to write a villain who's 100% evil for no reason you can point to the Joker and say it's already been done to save them from being a hack.
>>81314407
Do you also believe Batman is the best hero in dc because he's totally relatable and human just like me XDD
>>81319735
No Batman is best hero because heis badass and can rape Superman
>>81319525
>This is the Joker that I love
>Heath took this Joker away from cinema
>>81319614
I think the Arkham games found a good way of balancing his cruel, comedic and chaotic aspects.
>>81319103
Batman is literally Frankenstein and Joker is his monster.
>>81319485
of course he was
You know what's funny? Joker wasn't nearly as obsessed with Batman in the beginning. Sure, Batman was a a delightful enough diversion but their dynamic didn't go beyond the thrill of the chase.
It wasn't until Batman reciprocated his burgeoning interest in Joker in equal measure, that Joker began to look at Batman with different eyes.

>>81314407
OP, I want to light your post on fire so nobody can ever see such try-hard faggotry ever again.
>>81319841
Heath was still a goofy dick at times.
"You think you can steal from us and just walk away?"
"Yeah."
>>81321048
Sexton Was such a fucking great character. And that escene was way more scary than anythong snyder did with him
>>81314407
the Joker is more plot device than character, usually
Bump. Favorite Joker moment co?
>>81325417
Fuck i need this image without the watermark
The thing I don't get about the modern Joker is that he's supposed to be frighteningly, murderously whimsical, yet he's also supposed to be some sort of crazy savant genius master planner
Those two things are kind of at odds with each other. The "crime as performance art" version of the Joker works a lot more for me for that reason
>>81317241
I just never found clowns funny but they're not scary.
Joker isn't scary either and would be dead if not for plot armor but he is FUN.
>>81325481
>crime as performance art works better for me
I agree. It allows him to do everything you want him to do: be murderous, be funny, be charismatic, a smart planner, but also have a nice back and forth with batman.
In my head Joker sees himself as an evolution of criminal. Before, there were police and robbers. Crimefighting was just a concept, but with Batman it became art. With Batman crime fighting carried personality and meaning, and that was unstoppable to the lowly criminals. Joker? He's that response. If Batman is the escalation to turn crimefighting into an art (even if unintentionally), then Joker is the direct response. Crime as art turns Joker into a statement.
Like, in my head the perfect Joker origin is literally a man that opened up a newspaper and read a headline about a crime fighter that dressed as the bat and started laughing at how stupid of an idea that was.

You guys never had Pogo the Clown perform at your birthday party.
>>81315525
The Joker isbthe perfect character because he simply can be used to accomplish any goal the writer needs him too.
Bomb a school, kidnap the president, hell even just save a kitten in a tree. He can be used for any purpose on the sole aspect of he does what he thinks is the funniest at the time.
Edgelord OP thinks, "oooh he's a villain, he laughs all spooky and kills people and he said he's a chaotic person" and thinks that's what makes him good.
He's the best character, but he has the worst fanbase.
>>81325646
That's good, that almost reads like a Joker monologue.
>>81318892
Why would the Joker be shot for resisting arrest? He is the WHITEST man.
>>81325646
Reminds me of Dali.
>>81325680
Don't let any feminists see your desktop or they might get PTSD
>>81314407
He's not even the greatest comic villain.

>>81326709
explain yourself
>>81314407
He's just a fool who's broken the 4th wall.
He makes for a good show, but he's not a monster.

so progressive :^)
