But yeah, Hal's pretty interesting in that case, also considering that he's probably the only DC character who you could consider to have an ongoing narrative since his arrival- first he starts off, joins the JLA, chills with Ollie, ages, goes Parallax, dies, comes back as the Spectre, comes back as GL, kicks ass.

Costume redesigns aren't exactly an uncommon occurrence. And it was pretty obvious that the nu52 designs were rushed, (since they first planned to do the reboot with final crisis, then changed their minds, and then changed their minds again and did it with flashpoint) their replacement was always inevitable, and I'm honestly surprised it took this long.

Huh. That actually makes a lot of sense in retrospect. Final Crisis got away with a shit ton of drastic changes and character deaths, and it's easy to see how it got away with it if they planned a reboot afterwords
