JL: War was one of the worst animated films I've ever seen at the time. Atlantis wasn't much better. Son of Batman and Batman vs Robin and the other one with Batwoman and black techno batman? Those were abominations that made me wish for JL: War.

I enjoyed it. Mind you i absolutely hated the TT cartoon show with its faux anime bullshit so i have zero nostalgia for that effecting how i enjoy these characters. For me i think of teen titans mostly from wolfmans new teen titans and to a degree geoff johns teen titans.
I liked the characters. Damien included which everyone seems to hate. I think he's a perfect addition. This impetuous obnoxious miniature batman type who wants to live up to his father but also surpass him and rebel. I find that an interesting character to add to that teams dynamic. I thought the VA's were good and the only thing that dissapointed me was the actual confrontation between the JL and the titans. I got not having all the JL there because it would have been a washout but it should have gone on a bit longer and maybe taken place in a more interesting setting.
Beyond that flub though it was an enjoyable experience for me overall.

It was average to me. They really didn't give enough time to flesh out the Titans. Like I don't get a sense that this is a team and not just a place where these guys ended up since they had no where to go. Maybe if it was just Titans and no Justice League or something it could have been better. Wolfman's run of NTT is literally the only reason anyone still cares about the Teen Titans as a comic today, and I am employing ZERO hyperbole here.
Without his run they would have been an unremarkable and underselling team that got canceled and nobody remembered long enough to make a cartoon out of them.
It's pretty old (1980's) so you have to adapt mentally to the time period, but a lot of folks said that it's basically the comic that saved DC from bankruptcy for years after it's success prompted the company to try and tell more mature stories as it was loosing it's market share to Marvel more and more.
