I have never read a comic.
Recommend to me some short comic, with a story that takes place in a few volumes and finishes fast.
Give me a tv-show you like
detective comics volume 1
Marville
WoW: Curse of the Worgen.
Adventure's of the lemonade kid.

It's three issues long. It's about 3 pets (dog, cat and rabbit) that have been weaponized by the government trying to find their way home.

Unknown Soldier, My War Gone By, Wolverine MAX, Maus, Watchmen and The Man Without Fear.

One of the first comics I ever read was Marvel 1602.
Neil Gaiman, an accomplished writer in both comics and fantasy (he co-wrote a book with Terry Pratchett), wrote an eight issue book concerning the Marvel universe occurring four centuries earlier.
And the covers are these sexy, sexy woodcuts.

Trash.

Ok, what movies do you like? Or genres?
Are you interested in a specific character?
>>81237377
what's the matter, you don't like fun?
>>81237377
I find it kinda funny how the only place on the internet that hates Saga is /co/.
Bone.
A bunch of old timey cartoon characters stumble into a darker Lord of the Rings style fantasy realm and have to help win a war against the armies of darkness
>>81237467
But /co/ knows best.
>>81237543
>Garth Ennis' best stuff
>no Hitman
You bring dishonor to your family.
>>81237543
How is Dan Slott not on this?
>>81237455
I don't like awful meme "humor" comics and the overrated romance novel shit that is Saga
>>81237467
We're also the only site that hates Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. So what's your point.
>>81237812
My point is that /co/ is being a bunch of contrarian little shits as always.
>>81237896
Saga is shit, senpai
>>81238076
I wouldn't know, I haven't read it. But the critics seems to disagree with you, and so do general audiences.
So maybe you should explain your opinion instead of stating it like fact?
>>81237798
because its a joke.

Hi, welcome to 4chan

I'll be honest i just think most of /co/ doesn't actually like comic books anymore. They like the idea of comic books insofar as it is a 'thing that used to be better back when (coincidentally) they first got into it but it is apparently shit now.' The comics themselves are all crap. Every writer terrible, all the art atrocious, every storyline bad. Hell i'm not even sure people are bound by nostalgia anymore. I remember someone saying they read x-men since the 80s (including back issues before then) and felt there were only 2 stories in all of that time in all of the x books that weren't absolute shit. That one kinda blew me away.

I'd second this for a first time reader.
I don't know why you guys are recommending stories that require more than a passing familiarity to the universes they take place in.
OP, check out Prophet. The 2000s one, not the 90's one. It's Conan in space.

A short story

So you're an autist, then.
