The simple characters are often the hardest. Plus they probably had a hard time directly addressing how fairy babies look or something.

There is no justice in this world. Invader Zim would have ended years ago since it had an ending planned out and everything. Following both shows since it aired it really pains me to see how shit FoP has gotten.

Would an actual ending really have been that satisfying? Dib's Wonderful Life of Doom made for a good representation of that, and you know the show wouldn't have lasted much longer before inevitably going to shit. The crew was already getting burned out and the problems were becoming apparent.

Yeah, there's probably no real upsides to them staying this way now that they both talk. But man I cant fathom what human shaped Poof would look like, especially hair-wise.
