I think for a lot of people, and this is just my speculation, it's that they acknowledge "love" (the romantic dating kind) to be a sort of ultimate form of affection and caring between two (non family related) individuals, only slightly before going full serious with marriage, but the affection is all the same. Yeah Judy and Nick make for great best friends™ and there's a lot of caring between them at this point, but we don't want JUST that, we want them to reach that ultimate point of affection, they deserve to be happy and love each other, they click so well and their personalities blend so wonderfully like we saw in the film, it's that damn chemistry between them, man. Nick deserves to have Judy kiss him and call him a sly fox, Judy deserves for Nick to pick her up in his arms due to their slight size difference and kiss her nose in a moment of letting down his smug personae, etc. It's only things that can happen when you feel that connection beyond just "best friends". A lot of people want them to achieve that connection and truly fall for each other so they have those moments. They are so perfect for each other with that level of affection.

Did you even fucking read? seriously, try again. It's said there's nothing WRONG with them being/staying good friends, but good friends can't advance any further as far as feelings/relationships go. It's literally a wall that stops it right there, and yeah it's a "good place" to stop a healthy relationship and staying friends is fine, but fuck that. Former /frz/fag here, I'll be perfectly blunt: it got pretty bad towards the end... And actually towards the middle too.
I mean even MLP kept getting new content with new episodes, and so far what's spared Zootopia has been the massive release of old concept work, creator interaction, and some of the side materials like posted above.
But Frozen just had itself, the movie and the movie alone. And when content is basically digested, shat out/regugitated again and again, it gets horrifically vile pretty fast.

The power requirements to maintain the different environs and biomes of the city would be exorbitant, and most conventional fuel sources we have today would be insufficient or disrupt the biomes of various animals who would be residents.
So I think it's possible Zootopia may have cracked fusion energy or something equally powerful yet effective.

Zootopia is supposed to e set on earth, just an earth where humans never evolved.
The City itself apparently has a default Savanna Climate based on the fact that the Savanna district seems to call for no special environmental controls and the "Downtown" is extended from the Savanna District.
So does this mean Zootopia would exist in Africa?
Other things to note is that Zootopia itself seems to be a fairly large island or peninsula that does lead into mountains surrounded by an equally massive body of water.
The thing that does throw things about it is that Bunny Burrows is mentioned as something like 170-200 miles away and seems temperate (and I know environments and climates can change drastically over distances but that drastically?)

Han Solo and Princess Leia apparenlty had a somewhat vocal shipdom back when Star Wars came out, if you can call it that.
