So Weiss' whole deal in volume 4 will almost certainly be about her being fed up with her old lifestyle.
Myrtenaster is confiscated and locked away, and Weiss is confined to the Schnee estate surrounded by battle droids when she's not taking part in business meetings or stuffy parties. She's forced to make "friends" with the kids of aristocrats to improve family ties, but is quickly annoyed by their haughty, snooty attitudes. Weiss has a brief breakdown when she realizes she used to be exactly like them. In her brief moments of alone time, she reminisces about the real friends she had at Beacon, the ones who accepted her for who she was and taught her that she didn't have to be cold and proper all the time. Yeah, they were all quirky, uncultured idiots, but damn it they were HER idiots.
I'm guessing that Weiss will slowly get angrier and more antsy as time goes on and will lash out/escape to find her team. Atlas is a ways out from where RNGR are headed, but she'll find a way.

man, Blake's whole skillset is only suited for dealing with street level crime. She didn't grow up training to combat disaster-level threats like grimm invasions after all, she's essentially trained to infiltrate and fight against humans (like SDC personnel)

I can see him giving up on Cinder and Salem becaus he has no real allegience to them and a world overwhelmed with Grimm isn't really good for anyone, but at the same time I don't see him saying 'Gee, I sure am sorry for murdering and framing people and helping the downfall of society, can I join you guys now?'. Obviously it could be better handled than that, but it's still a bit much.

Not really. If he had gone there for the sole purpose of fucking with Blake you would have a point, but it was more of a happy coincidence than anything, which is why he smiles when he sees her for the first time and only becomes angry afterwards.
The flashback made it very clear that the White Fang is more important to him than Blake, when the Lieutenant swears to him that he will find her, Adam simply tells him to forget about it.
