Who is the best / your favorite Marvel female in the comics, past or present? For me it's pic related: there are a ton of actual heroines I like but none that feel the sheer, constant, uncompromising love and support this woman exudes in bulk in her best stories.

It's always been Psylocke for me. Never changed since like 1999 or so. She just encompasses a large amount of my own favourite fetishes, and I can't help but fantasise about her often.

Right now I'm invested in this one, but only as depicted in 'New X-Men.
That solo title is awful.
But she's a current infatuation, and the writing will eventually turn her into a different character than she is now. That always happens with new characters.
I'll post my long-time established favorite in another post.
Emma Frost, the White Queen.
I've only ever read her since the '90s and so have never really known the character as a villianess, but she brings such stylish sadistic villiany to being a hero I can imagine it.
From the deadpan sense of British humour to the casual and often hilarious abuse of her telepathic powers, she has been a joy to read in her every scene. I can't imagine a better foil to the heroes' dry moralism, she bounces witticisms off of almost any stereotypically noble thing said infront of her. And all in these little cruel jabs that sum up actual cynical real-world rationality in a few choice words.
How could you not love that in a superheroine?

Bendis so mercilessly destroyed so many of her relationships that even a decade later its hard to see how they can be rebuilt. Other than Pietro, only Steve and Stephen remain close to her.
She's always belonged in the mystic realm but one of the reasons she's been moved there is because the X-Men and even Avengers worlds have become so toxic and alien to her.
And Bendis has a nasty misogynist vein running through his work that he hides under his progressive pandering for his favourites.

I mean, I first noticed chauvinism in one early Wolverine(Logan) line from All New X-Men, but that's writing casual sexism into male characters - acknowledgement of society-wide sexism is not condoning sexism.
And I think he writes female characters rather well, it would be hard for a misogynist to ever put themself into a female headspace.
